LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Glee creator Ryan Murphy has cast two stars for his upcoming FX miniseries, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, a dramatization of the double murder case that captivated the nation in 1995.
Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire) will play O.J. Simpson, the football star accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ronald Lyle Goldman. Sarah Paulson, who worked with Murphy on American Horror Story, will play prosecutor Marcia Clarke.

Once was enough for me, living through it the first time leaves me no desire to watch anything to do with it again.
Gosh, the couldn’t find a queer skinny black man to play the part?
Liked him in a few roles in his career, but won’t be watching this.
Considering the part calls for a wealthy, mentally unbalanced, overhyped, angry Black man still blaming the White man for racism despite unbridled success how did they narrow down the plethora of overhyped,wealthy, unbalanced, angry Black men still blaming the white man for racism to Cuba Gooding so fast?

I can understand why an actor would take the role because it would be challenging, but I don’t know how they will be able to make an audience want to see it.
I’m sure that the actual killings will be left purposely vague.
I’m sure Cuba G. will give an entertaining performance because he’s a professional, but I would have looked for someone younger and taller. Maybe Cuba will fill the screen anyway, like another short but intense actor, Tom Cruise.
One of the most unique parts of the trial was that it lasted for so very long, and grabbed national attention from beginning to end. This was right before the internet became publicly available. Many individuals in the media made a career for themselves based on their reporting or their court room presence as seen during the trials.
Wonder how they will play the spin..will it be OJ being framed by the racist cops like the defense claimed....

Are they going to show all the violence against Nicole prior to the murders?
The ACTUAL thing is available. Why dramatize it?
Tom Cruise may be short and he may be intense, but he's anything but an actor.
He has never successfully portrayed anyone but Tom Cruise - ever.
He probably thinks Stanislavski is a brand of vodka.
They should make a movie about what the hell went on inside the O.J. jury room. How could so much ignorance and stupidity exist in one room?
Probably. They’ll likely not concentrate on his guilt or give the appearance thereof. In the end, it will probably cast no blame at all, but focus on the verdict of that insane jury.
His repertoire is expanding lately.
Now he plays cocky old guys.
Oh, and don’t forget his stunning portrayal of a cocky Nazi.
