I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

local Stop and Shop sells kosher Coke and Sprite for Passover.

Only for Passover or all year? Our local Shoprite for a while would stock the yellow cap Coke around Passover time but they haven't been doing so for probably the past four-at-least years.

I suspicion that it is because most of the Jewish folk in these parts are only Jewish because the males visited, er, were visited by, a mohel..

As the story goes, if an Orthodox, Conservative, and a Reformed Jew are together on a street corner (ok, that could be a stretch but for the sake of the story..) How can you tell them apart?

You ask the question "Do you fast for Yom Kippur?" The Orthodox man will reply, "Yes". The Conservative man will reply "No", and the Reform will say "What's Yom Kippur?"

I'm thinking that the local Jewish population is mostly the latter variety..

Uh-huh, uh-huh. What's "fast"?

I’m not sure God “gave us” CFIDS, but I am sure God gives us strength and God gave us each other.

Myself, I wish I could be more of a gift, but on-line friends are limited.

As we get older we lose our ability to taste bitterness. That’s why adults can’t understand why kids hate brussel sprouts.

I don't understand people

Probably a blessing. If you understood them you'd probably have to be God to love them.

I know the more I understand the less loving I feel, especially as I understand myself better.

Onions rule!

Well have them do something about Obama, then!

Or are they mad because I haven't paid them any taxes and keep eating their children?

Wait, you don’t mean ...

The One Ring was an onion ring????

Say it ain’t so. Frodo could have just eaten it and saved all that pain.

The Onion doesn't like 0bama as a subject, because he is too far out there to be effectively satirized. He is a satire of what the President should be and do.

It is just too sad to be funny.

I’m here. That security system on this thing makes me sign in to every site.

Frustration...Home page, FR, FB...that’s as far as I have gotten.

Right now I’m going to make some coffee, then go to Walmart for some little pads to elevate this thing so I can access the CD tray. Right now, the mouse pad is in the way.

We have a little metal rack that was originally sold for use in school lockers.

We have a choir practice shortly, and then we’ll have to go to Walmart. And the library, and the gym.

Another almost sleepless night. A shower this morning helped, but now I need to find something creative to do.

I just got back from Walmart there was only one check stand open. The Walmartians were beginning to get a little on the ugly side before they opened a second one.

And me, with my lonely little package of padded discs for $2.97.

I had to uninstall he security program before I could get past the firewall. I didn’t like to do that, but I need to be able take care of my banking. Dang.

I’m back from practice (4/6 of the choir participated) and having lunch. Next we’ll go to the library. DP is braving the Walmart with Sally.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials. It’s free and does a good job.

If you want to know which Anti-Virus program to use, you can use anything listed at https://www.icsalabs.com/products?tid[]=4216.

They test with a huge zoo of viruses and anything on that test has to be able to clean every virus in the zoo if your machine is already infected and has to protect your machine from becoming infected in the first place.

Worth keeping track of.

(I used to manage their lab.)

I don’t much care which security program I use as long as I can access my banking sites. Not being able to get into PayPal or Amex would be disastrous for me.

Is Microsoft Security Essentials already installed, waiting to be activated? Or do I have to download it?

The security system won’t even allow me to print, and the printer is also HP.

You have to download it but it’s free.

I’ve found it takes care of itself without hassling me. I think when a shop installs one it’s so they can make more money setting it up for you.

I can access all banking, pay-pal, shopping, credit cards. No muss, no fuss.

You might have to disable your current to download MSE.

I uninstalled the security program this morning, but I’m still having trouble. I don’t like MS word programs, but I need something, and tried to download OpenOffice.org, but the laptop won’t let me. I also need to install the Dragon program, and I’m afraid it won’t let me do that, either.

I tried to find MS Essentials but every time I clicked, I seemed to be going in circles. Then it gave me the downloads for Win7 and Vista. Nothing for Win8.1.

I used to know how to go in and change the security settings, but now I’m afraid I will disable the wrong thing.
CFIDS. It’s such a joy to have. </sarc

I’m almost in tears again. Lots of factors involved in that, but I can say, without a doubt, that the last eight days have been the most messed up since Jack Snow ate the walnuts off my birthday cake when I was eight years old.

I’m not sure what the next birthday will bring, but it HAS to be better than this one.

(4/6 of the choir participated)

Which is way better than 2/3.

Which wouldn't be a choir, it would be a duet...
