Yep, cats could care less about you and forget you just as soon as you walk out the door..........
The only way you make it up to them (if you're lucky) is to walk in the door with a can of tuna...But that will be short lived.

We had a Persian that would sulk for about three days after a vacation, the Siamese was always happy we were home.
Our little buddies now do not get left alone much, but the youngest one is always at the door when we do come home.

But you know they will be the soldiers best friend ever at about 3am when they hop onto the bed, looking for warm covers.
Not necessarily, in my case, it's a 4:00 a.m. wake up call to "feed me"........

"When I was commuting back and forth to LAX from Ventura county, my neighbor once told me she always knew when I had returned from a trip because my cat would start crying at the door across the hall about an hour before I would drive up." That's amazing. I know I've said it before, but I believe God gifted animals with mental abilities we don't know about.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)
To: piytar
That was heartwarming.
I like both cats and dogs; but I have more experience with cats.
We had one cat who would wait at the door like a dog, whenever my husband went out. He just didn’t LIKE it, when the Husband went out.

Hey, you’re nobody until you’ve been ignored by a cat.
Little buggers.

Here's our gang, sister and brothers found as 4 week old kittens in the bushes across the way from us. Sadly, we lost the sister, the cat in the middle, a few weeks back due to heart failure. The gray cat on the right is the one that gets mad at us for leaving. The white and gray cat on the left is our fat, gregarious cat and he greets us at the door!
