Verde Point is a self-described "luxury apartment" complex with a rooftop pool and "personal wine storage" that is currently accepting public housing assistance recipients who will live there practically for free, courtesy of the taxpayers at least until they become gainfully employed and their incomes rise. That's when the pool parties and wine tastings end and they will have to downgrade to a more middle-class abode.
The Gramercy is another luxury apartment, also in Arlington, Va., where holders of the federal vouchers formerly known as Section 8 can live, taking advantage of its "massage room and sauna" and "clubroom with bar." Also included, according to its promotional materials, are a "first-class sports club," "theater/screening room," and computer room.

Wonder where I can get an application.
how long... I say HOW LONG,,...will it take until the entire complex is in utter shambles after the furnitures and appliances are stolen and end up on ebay??
Normally, such buildings would not accept Section 8 tenants. What is the backstory?
Free money of some kind.
Excellent video!
They had a news story recently here in NJ where gibsmedats were bemoaning the fact that their children couldn’t use the pools of the motels in which they were being housed; the places actually had signs saying the pools were for paying customers. I doubt anything came of it, since the places would be ruined if actual clients had to deal with the gibsmedat juniors. Fortunately there was no racial angle (the gibsmedats were white - the Jersey shore has a lot of poor whites that live there year-round).
As I understand it, this was what killed Asbury Park years ago (but those weren’t whites).
What a country!!!
They’ll do to it what the Palis did to the beautiful gardens the Israeli’s left them when they moved out of Gaza.
It is all a scam. Developers get subsidies and are required to provide Section 8 housing.

“””The complexes listed below were built, acquired or renovated with public funds, and therefore are required to set aside a certain number of affordable units,” the county web page says.””
I don’t know the *backstory*....but I did see a recent article about the housing market in Arlington, VA and how *pricey* it was compared to other regions in the country.

most large cities now require large buildings to have a portion of their apartments qualify as “affordable housing”
EXCELLENT! That’s a keeper!
Thank you Megan!
Thank you for posting the Tim Hawkins link. Laughed at “Pretty Pink Tractor”, too!
bttt
Gov. gives the developers up front tax breaks, which can be transferred to other projects, to house the parasites. Then the developers sell other condos to unsuspecting people without telling them about their new neighbors. Developers build the building at subsidized cost, sell condos at market price to the uninformed, and collect federally guaranteed money for the parasite units. Winner for everybody but the suckers who bought in. Extra bonus if the parasites make life so bad you sell at a loss so the developer can buy back the unit for a song and rent it to more parasites.
Bingo! They'll have all their friends in the pool so the real renters won't want to go down there. They better put six or seven armed guards on the back door to stop all the gym equipment from walking off. Heck, now all they have to do is walk down the hall to rob and rape.
