Lots of Apple Watch Listings on eBay Are Attracting Zero Bids
Time Magazine ^ | April 14th, 2015 | Brad Tuttle

Sellers are asking extremely high "Buy It Now" prices at eBay to take advantage of strong demand for Apple Watches. But in many cases, consumers aren't biting.

By most accounts, the Apple Watch did a terrific business on the first day customers could place preorders. Apple reportedly received roughly one million orders last Friday, and demand has been so high that orders placed now won’t be delivered until June or even later in the summer.

The first customers who preordered Apple Watches, however, will have their shiny gadgets in hand starting on April 24 or soon thereafter. Part of the draw of being an early adopter is the opportunity to get one’s hands on the newest tech before everyone else, and a certain group of consumers is sure to be too impatient to wait until summer to get their hands on the new Apple Watch.

Naturally, this combination of strong demand and limited short-term supply led Apple Watches to begin appearing for resale on eBay almost as soon as Apple started accepting preorders. As ReCode noted over the weekend, most eBay listings for Apple Watches were of the “Buy It Now” variety, in which sellers post a flat price for the item rather than putting it up for an online auction. We probably shouldn’t be surprised that some sellers appear to be exceptionally opportunistic and greedy, occasionally posting “Buy It Now” prices that are 200% to 600% higher than retail.

Apparently all of the faggots in the USA have bought their Apple watch.

Now trying to sell it to straight, normal, REAL AMERICANS isn’t working out so well.

Doesn’t the battery only last a few hours? Thats a major downside when it comes to a watch’s primary purpose, which is to provide a convenient means of telling the time. May as well buy a cheap Timex.

All meaning to use the full TOTAL functionality of the watch. Not that every function needs an iphone to work.

Reviewers who used the Apple Watch reported they had no problem with battery capacity with a couple of them saying it easily went a day and a half of normal usage. Just using it daily and charging it at night worked fine. Even on the first day when they were testing everything and constantly playing with it, it had sufficient power.

I've been told by the resident apple fanboys that it's inappropriate to make such judgmental remarks because all Freepers are, in their view, no better than the fags that run Apple, according to them.

Maybe they’re not selling because NOBODY HAS ONE TO SELL.

I’ve never reported as Abuse a FReeper before, but I’ve now reported your attempts to disparage FReepers who happen to enjoy Apple products. Now, in the midst of your anti-Apple jihad you’re trying to divide FReepers from one another. What has got your goat with your focus on homosexuality and Apple users? Take an enema brother, you’ll feel better.

Obviously, upon initial release you’d expect the fanboys and gadget nuts to provide a demand. We’ll see if this “demand” has staying power. I personally see no use for it myself. But that’s just for me. If lots of people find it useful and sales go through the roof then good for Apple.

I am an intermittent Apple fanboy but this homo watch is strictly for chumps. You might as well throw some hundred dollar bills into the camp fire

I found this sort of profiteering on a camera I wanted several years ago.

I summoned all the patience I could “find” and waited until a local retailer took delivery on a new shipment

Anna apple? I’ll have to try one out. Thought I found the perfect apple in Fuji. “Mealiness”...that’s the obvious description I could never think of for what’s awful about some apples, pears and peaches. Thanks.

LOL

I was called a closeted homo by one of them because I said conservatives shouldn’t by products from a company run by a fag.

Apple fanbois got lots to live down. I have not heard from Tim Kook in a while. He must have been told to stifle himself. That he was killing business with all his pro-gay propaganda

Not only that, but there is no dire need to have an Apple watch.

Not only that, but there is no dire need to have a watch.

Thanks to my Father-in-Law, the Watchmaker, I have 8 of them in a box at home. I never wear any of them.

I carry a phone and it has a clock. My car has a clock in the dash. My home PC has a clock. My personal tablet has a clock on the home screen. The microwave has a clock. The oven has a clock. The cable box has a clock. Three walls in my house have clocks. At work there is a wall of them, one for each timezone. My computers at work each have a clock.

I could go on but...why would I wear a watch?

Granny Smith for cooking, yes, always! But Gravenstein for make-your-eyes-roll-back taste. If you’re ever in Sonoma County, seek them out. (Unfortunately Gravensteins don’t ship well. Sigh.)

Still demonstrating your sever problems with reading comprehension and connection with reality, I see. That was not what you were told at all.
