Who the h*ll cares what a washed-up licker thinks?
Yep, some pip squeak who runs on the field going, ‘I’m gonna kick a touchdown.’
Tebow has had several opportunities.
My post was an attack? Oh, I’m sorry, your first eloquent post was the epitome of dignity and grace. I should be ashamed to force you into an internet argument that tests your common sense and use of logic. Sometimes you can actually apply logic and common sense to a topic without the need for Google.
The job of a QB is to complete passes, if they do that everything else will follow.
...
Really? I thought it was to run the offense, score points, and win games.
Appears that Feely has ties with the Clinton Family Foundation, and he has started his own Feely family Foundation.
This might be interesting to research.
What motivates Feely to take a gratuitous shot at Tebow?
Could Feely may be an anti-morality jerk, I mean who takes a picture with Slick Willie wearing a crap-eating grin?
Jay who?
They should convert him to a fullback:
- gets to do a few power runs
- block
- catch a couple passes from the backfield
- could line him up as a tight end once in a while
- a trick play using him as a direct snap here and there.
Chubby Chip is definitely an innovator. All those could happen.
Wow, are you defensive.
To recap: I made some observations about the NFL which are demonstrably true, including a line about QB’s getting hurt, because it is part of the game.
You immediately rush out and assert the reason the NFL is wedded to the drop back passer is due to running QB’s getting hurt more than drop back QB’s.
I ask you for a site and you go all “conventional wisdom” and “logic” on me and “look it up for yourself.”
Youngster, there is a lot of conventional wisdom and logic in the past that turned out to be untrue.
Again, it is up to you to prove your assertion. Simple logic would tell you that, though, I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
Feeley is not very gracious
Where’s he from?
Ol’ Slick took one look at her and said,
‘I’m in, I’ll be the Feely, Feeler whatever’
Romo was developed by the Cowboys for 3 years before he played a full season. Tebow was thrown into the mix in his 2nd year with the Broncos.
By the way Phil Simms first 2 years with the Giants he had completion percentages of 50.6 and 48.0. He didn't break 55.0% until his 6th year. Eli Manning cmp% 48.2 52.8. and they had full near full seasons their first 2 years.
As a Tebow fan I'd like to see him get the opportunity to play. I think he got a raw deal especially the trade to the Jets. At this point I hope the Eagles can keep him and get him some play time. This is probably Tebow's last chance with the NFL unless he can land a CFL gig if the Eagles don't work out.
Nice article.
Sorry, dude, your observations are, well, for lack of a better word, moronic.
Do you really think that conventional wisdom used in the NFL now isn’t from years of experience and trial & error amongst the coaches and managers over the years to determine what works best? Do you really think that running QBs don’t flourish in the NFL because coaches and GMs lack imagination? Or, they understand the game and how to protect their QB but get maximum value from that QB? Oh, no, no, no! Coaches and GMs need to adapt to the poor throwing of Tim Tebow!
Starting QBs are hard to replace. Teams don’t want to take unnecessary risks with their investments. That’s why they want them in the pocket hopefully making quick reads and decisions with the ball. That’s also why rules get stricter and stricter to protect QBs.
I saw the worst quarterback ever. Spergeon Wynn, Minnesota Vikings.
Wynn makes Tebow look like Fran Tarkenton by comparison.
Tebow was a first round draft pick, Romo was an undrafted free agent.

The only person who can control that is Tebow himself. If he can't perform in camp then there is no reason to keep him.
This is probably Tebow's last chance with the NFL unless he can land a CFL gig if the Eagles don't work out.
With the larger field, three downs, and separation between offensive and defensive lines, the CFL is even more of a passing game than the NFL is. And passing is one of Tebow's weaker areas. So I don't see any CFL team being interested.
All that wailing and gnashing seems to indicate that Tebow’s detractors are emotionally invested in having him fail. The prospect of Tebow getting a second chance in the NFL has them losing their minds. Very entertaining.
I made observations which are demonstrably true.
The NFL has changed the rules to favor the passing attack.
When rules are changed in order to favor one thing over another, it brings about uniformity and stifles imagination.
The NFL, for better or worse, is what it is, a money making business. The owners think more points on the board equal more money in the bank, hence the rule changes in favor of passing.
I knocked the NFL in general, using Tim Tebow’s style of play as an example.
More than a few players call the NFL “The No Fun League.”
You can call my views names all you want, but it doesn’t make what I said wrong or untrue.
The NFL and its coaches have no imagination.
I also said that it is unrealistic for an offense to have a run option QB and a classic drop back passer as a back up, or vice versa. It would require two different offenses and that just isn’t practical.
For Tim Tebow to play in the league, or someone like him, would require imagination, a new offensive scheme and a backup QB that can also run the read option.
None of that is going to happen, because if it doesn’t work (and I don’t know that it would) a coach would be out of a job. (there’s that guts thing)
The offense gets run mostly from the sidelines. You score points and win the game by completing passes.
