Its not surprising Cuba’s Communist elite feels entitled. They have never made meaningful opposition for decades.
The time warp most of Cuba lives in tells the real story. You don’t have to look further to see Cuban Communism never emerged from the 1950s on the island.

The real revelation is that Fidel was never a Communist. He just played one on TV for the New York liberals, and it worked. Castro has always been a murdering thug. His heroes are Hitler and Alexander the Great, not Lenin or Marx.

Now why would a Cuban drug dealer give B Clinton $20,000?
Drug dealers only give people money if they are good for business.
With the Haitian boat lift taking place at the time Clinton took office in 1993, there were so many Coast Guard boats, aircraft and other law enforcement checking out every boat in the water between Haiti and the US it was almost impossible to run dope between Cuba and the US.
Castro threatened B Clinton with another Mariel boat lift if Clinton didn’t stop the Haitian boat lift.
B Clinton then used the US military to invade Haiti and stop the Haitian boat lift so Castro could get his dope into the US from Cuba.
Jorge Cabrera was so happy Clinton had got him back in the dope business he gave Clinton $20,000 to make sure he had another 4 years of good dope business.
All the increased security around Gitmo has once again became a problem for the dope runners so our little dem friends want to shut down Gitmo so Castro can run his dope easier.

Who is this book supposed to shock and surprise? Drug running, terror, torture. That's coin of the realm. Stuff like this was part of his job. The term "Double Life" implies he was in some way a legit operator.

In the 1980s my neighbor was a US Customs agent.
He told me Castro had pulled off the Mariel boat lift to shut down the dope coming into the US because the Columbian drug lords had tried to go around Castro’s Cuba so they wouldn’t have to pay him.
The Columbian drug lords didn’t want to bring their coke up through Mexico because the Mexicans would then control the flow of dope.
The drug lords had to pay Castro or risk loosing most of their dope to seizures by the Coast Guard or other law enforcement.
The dope running operation into Mena, Arkansas and the start of the Gulf Cartel in Mexico was directly related to the drug lords not wanting to pay Castro for running the dope.
Ever notice how liberals get all teeny-bopping crazy when they meet Castro? I mean seriously, it’s the equivalent of teen girls screaming over a boy band.

This has been known for decades by law enforcement. I have been told personally by high ranking members of H.A. that all of their coke is shipped through Cuba. They even ‘step on it’ with Levamisole which is a intestinal parasite medicine for pigs that can cause an aplastic anemia and kill. I had the first patient diagnosed with this illness. This is another reason why I hate the Commies and the scum who support/defend these monsters.
