We have a trailer for the same reasons you mention.
And our many trips each year are precisely for sight-seeing. We could not take nearly as many trips if we stayed in hotels. Also, I prefer sleeping in my own bed rather than in one that strangers have used.

I fish Rock Creek occasionally, the Salmon Fly hatch is going on there now. Rock Creek Ranch sets in a beautiful location.
I have floated the Blackfoot River past the glamping tents at Paws Up several times. Another beautiful location.
These facilities are for the wealthy and in no way reflect what most campers in Montana experience. I sleep in a tent or my truck with a pee bottle and my .44 mag. Works for me.
