This probably hasn't received 24-hour coverage on the national news channels.

Why does it take these juries so long to come to a decision? One hour seems like plenty, and even that includes a coffee break.
Sometimes I wonder if these people get paid by the hour or something.

Last November, prosecutors offered Heath the chance to plead guilty but mentally ill to third-degree murder and related charges in exchange for a sentence of 28 to 56 years in prison.Would a mentally ill person be able to understand this option?

Angela is white. Anthony is black. Therefore, this is not worthy of press coverage or riots.

So she cheated on her husband and her “lover” killed her. So long slut.

Not blaming the victim, but...
Why would you involve yourself with someone so volatile that he would strangle you for not giving him a ride?
Why would you involve yourself with someone so stupid that he figured burning the body would get him off the hook? Then, knowing he was guilty, he decided on a trial at which he would conduct his own defense.
Surely she could have found someone less volatile and a little smarter.

Another burning. They still haven’t caught whoever burned Jessica Chambers alive.

The jury instructions are typically opaque, convoluted, and lengthy.

It’s the OJ Syndrome. OJ couldn’t stand the thought of Anna Nicole with someone else.

Its the OJ Syndrome. OJ couldnt stand the thought of Anna Nicole with someone else. Yup. Ron Goldman returned her glasses from the restaurant, and in a spontaneous act of gratitude she gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek, just as OJ came around the corner...
(My take on what happened.)

It is a common scenario in that realm. The girl has to move out of town to protect herself from the obsessive stalking ex. And she will get none of the protection normally afforded to women who are stalked.
To: tacticalogic
It’s probably just a matter of time, but burning people in their cars, houses, & fields seems to be the preferred method here. And there was that woman in Houston who took a blowtorch to a little 9 year old boy.

Our juries get paid ten dollars a day plus mileage.

Why would you assume that she would have known in advance that he would do those things?

So she cheated on her husband and her lover killed her. So long slut. You think infidelity is worthy of death?

We don’t even know if they were lovers. That’s what he is saying. She could have been just trying to help a friend out. Your mind is sick and twisted.
