These people have no shame.
I understand the “theme” of the funeral was “Sweet 16.” Never knew such events had a “theme;” the idea of modeling it on a Sweet 16 party is simply mind-boggling. So is one of the aunts urging mourners to donate to her charity, instead of buying flowers for the departed.
It seems a good parable for the black American family. The Houston family seems fairly decent but the Brown family is trouble. They can’t or won’t distance themselves and it drags them down with them.
We should be cautious on calling people classless here.
Cissy Houston was and is a Gospel singer, and a devout Christian. Whitney’s mother Pat is as well from my understanding.
Whitney was a Church raised beauty, and wonderful singer until she stumbled upon the likes of Bobby Brown, a Thug from a Thug family.
Thank G-d for Brahms, Bach, and Beethoven.
According to published accounts, Whitney Houston was at best, a drug addict.
