The New GOP “Outrage Industry:” Lessons in Decency from Erick Erickson and Fox News
Bristol Palin's Blog ^ | August 10, 2015 | Bristol Palin

Posted on 08/10/2015 4:24:47 PM PDT by Resettozero

...before we get off the topic of Fox News and the fact that they are “oh-so-shocked” at the supposed sexism of Donald Trump…here’s a little perspective.

Back in 2010, Chris Wallace joked about having my Mom (Sarah Palin) sit on his lap during an interview.

In 2011, Roger Ailes said, “I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings.”

Fox and Erickson need to get off their high horse on how outraged they are NOW about sexism and decency.

I remember that, but it didn’t get much publicity. Talk about sexist. Good for Bristol bringing it up again.

Now that Trump’s ratings have gone up, he and Kelly ought to get together in private and devise a plan to that will make both their ratings go up. He should go on her show at least once a week and they would fake trash talk each other with fake outrage like pro wrestlers. Their ratings will go through the roof.

That is all new to me. Deserves to be spread across the internet, because the media will certainly not spread it.

Why is the GOP writing the campaign strategy for the RATS?

Isn’t GOPE “outrage industry” basically the same thing as the “womanly indignation” that Ann Coulter accuses the Dems of?

Excellent. Thanks for posting this.

Also, thanks to all who exposed Megyn Kelly as the bimbo she is. I already knew she was a phony. I have lost ALL respect for Fox “News”.

You seemed to bypass the point of the post: How FNC personnel spoke openly of Sarah Palin in strictly and recognizably sexist terminology. Bristol wasn't speaking to the Trump situation but rather what happened to her mother.

This isn’t about which party anymore.

It’s about allegiance to the United States of America.

I don’t think that Erick Erickson should be let off. He came out with the fake outrage over his deviant spin just to get his name out in the public, and maybe get famous as a giant killer. I still believe that if he had not jumped on that statement, it would have gone unnoticed, it was so innocuous.

I saw a connecxtion. Now that the cat is out of the bag, that the “outrage” is fake, why not take advantage of the fake outrage (like the fake fights in pro wrestling) and put on a show that the public will go ga-ga over.

Greta has already dropped the hammer on Erickson for his past comments
on women.

There will be more hammers drop on Erickson too.

He is being exposed as the hypocrite he is.

In 2011, Roger Ailes said, “I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings.”

It's a winning market strategy and the FNC gals love to strut their stuff for Roger.

Now what was that War on Women question, again, Megyn?

It’s about allegiance to the United States of America.

Yes, Cruz calls it the Washington cartel. And to be more exact, the Constitution-ignoring Washington cartel.

Did anyone cover Ericksons event in Atlanta? All I’ve heard about the actual event is that it did happen and Trump wasn’t allowed. Big deal, it made no splash except to keep Trump in the headlines

Thanks for the Ping Resettozero!

Ping to Sarah's Awesome List!

I couldn't remember the reason why I disliked Erick Erickson so much.

Now it is all coming back to me.

I get him and Andrew Sullivan Confused. Forgive me but they both Suffer from P.D.S. to a freighting Degree.

And His Misogyny didn't slip through, it bursts through like a Dam Breaking.

Here is another link that has some brief History of Erickson's War on The Palins palins-denounce-erickson-hypocrisy
