Pit bull owners should be required to assume all risk.
The pit bull should be exterminated at dog owner’s expense. The dog owner should also be handed the medical bills and sued for any trauma.
Where are the defenders, the supporters of this loving dog breed ?

Why wasn’t Nicholson arrested for animal abuse? He didn’t have the beat the dog a kind word or two maybe a job off would have work, he needed to help the poor misunderstood creature. As far as the boy, well clearly he has been raised to be a Canineaphobe and should have known the dog was just playing.

My vet is considering retiring now, partly due to having to deal with untrained, unsocialized, barely-controlled pit bulls he has to deal with. Idiots get them because they’re status symbols and they have no business having these dogs.
I rarely see a pit bull that’s not lunging to get away from its idiot owner to go terrorize someone or something. Pit bulls are the muzzies of the dog world.

Very true, right down to the fact that a small fraction of them are useful, loyal guard dogs which are held up as the rule by their apologists rather than the exceptions which they actually are.

A few years back an acquaintance wanted to find a home for a Pitbull puppy. She worked for a vet that was asked to put it down, he ask if it was OK to find it a new home.
I occasionally see them out walking, at a glance you would not take it for a Pitbull. Just a happy dog walking with its family!
