The world famous physicist has admitted that if aliens came to visit Earth, the outcome might not be a positive one
Stephen Hawking has tackled the mysteries of the universe his entire life.
Now the world-renowned scientist has some new things to say about a potential alien invasion .
"If aliens visit us, the outcome could be much like when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans," Professor Hawking told El País .
"Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach," he said.

Two counter-examples:
(1) We are sufficiently more technologically advanced than Socrates, that we would seem as gods to him. Are individual humans really more intellectually and socially advanced than the Greeks of his day?
(2) Just because you have ACCESS to technology, does not mean YOU are intellectually or socially advanced. For example, think of star-traveling equivalents of Somali pirates.

New agers like to span places like this to spread their religion of alien life.
If the aliens are truly advanced they probably don’t want to have anything to do with the earth. They would have warning signs all over the universe about the earth and this whole solar system is probably quarantined. They will want to contain us so we do not get out like a bad virus.
The “Muzzies” ARE the invading aliens. Only, they are not particularly advanced.

Look around! We were not originally created to be filled with hatred greed pride and murder. We have been genetically sabotaged from a long time ago, and it's coming back full circle again.
Hawking has been repeating this for years. And he probably needs to keep repeating it. We have idealist radicals running our government. If we actually detect aliens Obama might want to welcome them to come visit. Of course by the time they receive the communications and travel here Obama would probably be in the UN or some Frisco bath house
Once they find out about Muzzies, the planet will be slated for sterilization - “I say we take off, nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”
Seriously, Hawking is a bit late on this, it has been discussed before, LOTS. It is also obvious - any civilization that can get here across interstellar distances MUST be far more advanced than we are. It won't be natives vs. conquistadors, it'll be ants vs. humans - with us being the ants this time around. We'll be exterminated, except perhaps a few to be kept as specimens or those living in caves off of bugs.
Primary lesson here: don't broadcast that we exist. We DON'T want to meet aliens, not for at least several tens of thousands of years into the future - by which point we'll have truly advanced technology and be spread out over hundreds or thousands of star systems (if we don't destroy ourselves first).
If I were an alien (And God how I wish I was sometimes) I’d look at this planet and vaporize it to ensure liberals and terrorist types never spread through the galaxy. These ‘people’ are very much a deadly virus and have demonstrated that fact. If there are aliens they must be merciful on the rest of us because we are still here... so containment would be the best option.
