...people who understand math and people who don’t.

How about this one? It works for everything under which axiomatic set theory applies. [Which is pretty much everything.]

There are exactly two kinds of people in this world: those who belong to a given arbitrary set, and those who belong to its complement.

And then there's the unary number system (perhaps originally based on the idea of counting fingers). E.g., 10 in the decimal system would be "1111111111" in unary. The only application of this I ever saw was an algorithm for doing infinite precision arithmetic using a Turing tape as the only memory device.

Teacher told the class that likely two thirds of them did not understand fractions well—one of the students responded more pessimistically that it might be as high as four thirds.

There are only three kinds of people in the world, those who conform and... look, pancakes!

LISP is a recursive language.

A mathematician, a physicist and an engineer are in a gymnasium where the girls on one side and the boys on the other move half the distance between them each minute.

When asked "when will they reach each other?":

mathematician: "When time = infinity"

physicist: "Never"

engineer: "They'll be close enough for all practical purposes in about 10 minutes".
