Ted is by far the most ideologiccally pure.

Trump has the best potential to burn the house down.

That’s what should happen

The General, if I remember correctly.

I remember they were all excited before the election and then just couldn’t believe the outcome.

Granted we know there was wide-spread cheating going on, but never believe the infallibility of the polls at any stage of the race.

Nor the inevitability of any candidate as declared by anyone.

Reagan was down by 30+% after the primaries in 1979 and went on to be Carter by I believe 10%.

Cruz started out at 3% against Dewhurst and won pulling away by 10%.

Wouldn't that be cool?

I do have to say, the DNCe must be in total panic mode.

She's genuinely a horrible candidate, almost worse than Jeb, and for many of the same reasons, plus a few unique to only her.

Trump has the best potential to burn the house down.

Not at all.

Trump will move to the middle if he wins the primaries, Cruz will not. Trump is telling you what you want to hear without specifics.

Your best bet for burning it down is Cruz.

Problem with hubris like that is it tends to turn around a bite the poster in the ass later. Let see who well your candidate does when he has to preach to voters other then those in his own choir.

Everyone under 10% should just get out. Example of self-derangement: jebby, with 3% insults the 3 winners

Jeb is a real piece of work, isn't he? I don't think I've ever seen someone so ill suited and undeserving, run for president in my life.

As to your first statement, the attrition picked up a bit tonight with Huck and Santo, who are both now out. I expect a few more will fall out after New Hampshire. 'Bout damn time, in my opinion. This race has been too crowded for far too long.

cult of personality? wow a bit harsh, but trump is a loser tonight and it was not expected. deep breath nh is 7 days away

dogma by definition cannot be emotion-based. it an article of faith.

or has faith become an emotion these days?

Nope just not so wrapped up in the cult of personality around a political candidate that I am willing to ignore the inconvenient facts that challenge emotion based dogmas.

Boy, you just perfectly described the Cult of Trump!

...never believe the infallibility of the polls at any stage of the race. Nor the inevitability of any candidate as declared by anyone.

I'm there with ya. I never said that polls are anything more than a predictive tool, but predicting the Iowa Caucus through polling is notoriously difficult. Regular primary states, not as much.

You're also correct in saying that we shouldn't count any candidate out until a mathematical impossibility presents itself. I'll never forget how perplexed I was that McCain wound up as our nominee in 2008.

Look we all know this happens every four years. Whoever is the bestest Christian wins. Then we leave Oz and return to reality. Trump seems happy enough with second. He’s in a good position. He will win NH and everyone will forget about Iowa.

Trump will move to the middle if he wins the primaries

Trump will have to shift rightward to get to the middle.

. . . Cruz will not.

Works for me.

An astute observation, on both counts.

Cruz IS in the middle!

No, you are mistaken.

Trump, being Pro-Abortion, Pro-Kelo, Pro Single-Payer health care, Gay Marriage is the settled law of the land, and supporting touch-back Amnesty is the man-in-the-middle.

Yeppers.

That's why I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight, and have nothing but camaraderie in my heart for Cruz supporters. We Trump supporters will be doing the woohoo dance a week from now :-)
