Why I'm Not Feeling The Bern....I want a healthy economy.

I’m not a socialist.

I could just leave my argument there but this article has to be at least 500 words so I will provide specific examples.

1. College shouldn’t be free.

College is a privilege, not an entitlement. It should be an investment by the student for his or her future. Making college free for everyone will cheapen its value and make a master’s degree essential to be competitive in the job market. Are we going to make graduate degrees free as well? Stop being ridiculous.

This is the point where Bernie supporters usually start to attack me during my argument. I’m often told that I have no compassion and that I don’t care about helping the less fortunate. This is where they would be wrong. I believe that in a society built on free markets everyone would be able to succeed. It’s a difference in the pathway, not the destination.

So, what’s the difference between Bernie and Hillary?

I guess Hillary tries real hard not to sound radical, and likely will win the Democratic nomination as a result. They want to run and win a woman.

College is a privilege, not an entitlement.

"Privilege" is not an economic term.

As with medical care, college is a commodity, or, perhaps more accurately, a congeries of services and commodities. People who want to buy it should be free to do so. People who don't have the money necessary to buy it should turn to charities.

Get the gov’t out of the loan business and watch tuition rates crash.

The difference?

Honesty.

Bern is a loon, but a sincere one. He’s not feathering his nest.

Hillary is as fake, power hungry, and corrupt as they come.

Hillary probably doesn’t sound real radical to the almost 50% of the takers, but to the rest of us, she sure does.

So, what’s the difference between Bernie and Hillary?

I heard a recent summary which I think is brilliant:

Bernie has one message: "I will give you lots of free stuff!"

Hillary has two messages:
1) "I will give you more free stuff that the other guy!"
and
2) "That other guy has irresponsible policies and will bankrupt the country!"

A lot of people admire her deep wisdom on this matter.

Absolutely. But Sanders will be less malicious while he’s doing it.

You nailed it. The kids today understand that Sanders is a sincere loon, but that is preferable to a corrupt, lying, conniving witch.

Are we going to make graduate degrees free as well?

Um... okay... some of us *did* get our graduate degrees free--that is, taxpayers paid for them. It all depends on the major.
