The New York City Council Monday honored Ethel Rosenberg, the convicted Soviet spy who was executed for treason at the height of the Cold War.
The proclamation honors Rosenberg on her 100th birthday for leading a 1935 strike against the National New York Packing and Supply Co. Eighteen years after the strike, Rosenberg, husband Julius, and her brother David Greenglass were indicted by the federal government for passing nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union.
Ethel Rosenberg was wrongfully executed in 1953 which resulted in her two young children becoming orphans, said NYC Council Member Daniel Dromm said. Although nothing can erase this terrible loss of life, I am pleased to join my colleagues in the Council in posthumously acknowledging Ms. Rosenberg on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of her birth.
[[Are these scum kidding?]]
These same scum ( Liberals in general) cheered the release of another traitor Bergdahl (sp?) No- they are not kidding- Traitors are their heroes- And people wonder why Ted said ‘NY Values’? This is a classic example of LIBERAL NY values- Not that everyone in NY is a liberal- but for crying out loud- The politics of NY are dominated by scumbag Liberal Values- Yes there are conservatives in NY- Yes they do NOT support NY liberal values- however, the state is overwhelming dominated by leftist/socialist values and the conservative values do not have a voice in NY as a general rule- they haven’t’ had a voice for a very long time in NY
[[Far worse happened to millions of others because of them.]]
Which is why these NY liberals love her- She helped contribute to ‘involuntary euthanasia’ as a means of population control- something these scumbag liberals embrace with open arms
Well, damn!
And here I was wishing we could dig her up and hang her again.
Oh, well...New York values.
Let’s fry the klintons they are the new Rosenbergs
It is painfully obvious that all Ronald Reagan accomplished was to cause the financial ruin of one bureaucratic manifestation of Marxism—the Soviet Union. Today, we are ruled by hard-core Marxists—in the universities, the media, the clergy, the Catholic bishops and the Vatican, the big foundations and “charities,” the entire Democrat party and much of the Republican Party, and, of course, the government.
Mary Surratt, OTOH, was guilty only of being the mother of John Surratt who WAS one of the conspirators (as Mary was not) and the kangaroo court prosecution, conviction and its order of execution carried out against Mary Surratt were a rank disgrace. Her lawyer and the lawyer for Dr. Samuel Mudd, objected that the military tribunal had no jurisdiction over trials of civilians such as their clients but the court would have none of it. A couple of years later, in Ex Parte Milligan, the SCOTUS ruled that military courts had no jurisdiction over civilians even in time of war. Even five of the nine judges on the "court" that ordered her executed later relented and petitioned President Andrew Johnson to commute her sentence to life in prison but Johnson claimed he never saw the petition, You do the lady a grave disservice.
Duing the late unpleasantness between the states, the New York Times was, surprise!, surprise! a significant force for all things liberal and air-headed (never changed since) and indeed OUGHT to "weep, wail, fall down, wallow in the dirt, for Mary Surratt," one of the victims of Times' hysteria.
David Greenglass should have been fryolated but was sentenced to 9 years or so, released in 1960, and lived to the age of 92, having sold sister Ethel down the River Styx (with her co-operation, to be sure but probably without her actual complicity) in exchange for some leniency and immunity for his equally guilty wife.
