Trump’s Virtual Lynch Mob
National Review ^ | April 12, 2016 | Ian Tuttle

Call it a high-tech lynching.

In the wake of Donald Trump’s being shut out in Colorado — final delegate count: Ted Cruz, 34; Trump, 0 — his fans have formed virtual mobs, and on Sunday a particularly passionate Twitter user tweeted out the home address and phone number of Steve House, chairman of the Colorado GOP.

House’s personal information has been retweeted more than 1,100 times. He says he’s received some 3,000 phone calls, most of them uncomplimentary:

Meanwhile, the same Trump partisan also tweeted information for the state’s national committeewoman, Lily Nuñez, and committeeman, George Leing. Of course, the brave Twitter user in question did all of this anonymously, and lots of other brave people have applauded — also anonymously.

The unsavory Trump fans in question appear to be multiplying: Something similar is already afoot in Indiana, which hasn’t even voted yet. Kyle Babcock, an at-large delegate selected at one of this weekend’s nine congressional-district conventions, made the mistake of explaining to the Indianapolis Star that he would not back Trump, because he believes Cruz stands a better chance against Hillary Clinton in November.

...

There is no indication that the Trump campaign was involved in these threats, but make no mistake: This effort started at the top. After floundering in the Centennial State, Trump took to Twitter to peddle his usual conspiracy theories: “The people of Colorado had their vote taken away from them by the phony politicians. . . . This will not be allowed!” With the help of sympathetic media outlets — the Drudge Report suggested that Iraqi elections were more fair than Colorado’s delegate-selection process) — his false allegations gained traction.

And Colorado is too whacked on ultraweed that they can’t remember their own caucus rules... forgot to publish last summer’s rule change for the straight voters. The bong fog of war.

“Don’t let the Cruz mob get the better of you. It is clear who are the thugs here.”

Lol, don’t worry, been here a very long time. It’s funny how some Cruzers are starting to resemble in manner and post the old DU’ers that used to troll here!

” BTW, just watched some very heartening Trump-Family town hall meeting. No other candidate’s, AFAIK, comes close!”

Yeah, what an unbelievable family, they exude confidence and plain ole’ “goodness” thru the screen.

TRANSLATION: It’s OK for Cruz to use every trick in the book, but it’s not OK for Trump to do likewise.

Few words more aptly describe Donald-come-Lately Trump than “Unsavory.”

Trump has attracted millions more voters than Cruz, who has won a total of 4 elections so far this primary season. When party hacks decide at caucuses and party conventions Calgary Ted almost always wins, when the voters decide he does not do nearly as well. Make what you want of that.

What can we say? We don’t like cheating, we don’t like rigged outcomes.

In this supposed representational republic, the GOP establishment in CO shut out the voters in order to anoint their chosen candidate.

So, no, the Trump supporters are not happy. It looks like the dirty tricks are biting Cruz in the rear, too—last few polls I’ve seen put him behind Kasich. Which is where he belongs.

So if we support Trump, we’re not “thinking?” That’s a Delphi tactic that liberals support, so congrats on sinking to their level. Whatever happened to agreeing to disagree, like rational people do?

Let me see. Cross over dems vote for Trump but when only republicans can vote Trump get crushed. I wish my state was like Colorado instead of a open primary. Then we would not get dems like Romney and Trump.

Agreeing to disagree went out when I started getting insulted by Trump supporters. I did not start that way but since some Trump supporters started bullying me screw them.

Just look what happened here. Colorado votes the way they want and they get death threats because someone does the same thing the homos did to donors in California. They posted their contact info. Pretty low even for Trump supporters.

Einstein is said to have defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result each time.

By that definition Cruz supporters are insane.

Einstein also said that three great forces rule the world: STUPIDITY, GREED, FEAR. And those are your hillary/sanders supporters.

I don’t know that Trump can change anything.

But change will come.

I think it won’t end well.

PLEASE SHILOH COME

This is a perfect example of the Cruz-delusion ...there are a lot of Conservative Dems out there and truth be told , we can’t win without them ...Trump pulls them , no other Repub can come close ...
