The 2017 NBA All-Star Game is slated to take place in Charlotte, N.C., but commissioner Adam Silver said that will change if the state's new anti-LGBT laws are not altered.

In recent weeks, Silver had been rather vague in addressing the controversy, but on Thursday he indicated that the league is taking a firm stance on the matter during an interview with ESPN's "Mike & Mike".

I just googled “NBA Fights” & enjoyed watching the fun more than some game. Even the police get involved.

Anyway, if North Carolina and/or Charlotte stand their ground against restroom crashers, they may see a huge increase in business from family vacationers coming to visit.

It works both ways!

Wish the NBA would just cease all together. They’ve been poisoning our culture for decades.

So Silver and the NBA hate Christians.

Exactly. Only thing better is a heavyweight title fight in Las Vegas.

It is time for an NC buycott. Show your support for NC by looking for NC businesses online.

Good idea. And I just called the NC Chamber of Commerce Tourism director, left him a message that I am looking to vacation there in the near future.

I suspect that if it were put up for a plebiscite, gay rights and transgender rights would not find nearly as much support among the people as they do among political elites and corporate elites.

Indeed. We saw some of this, back when we were still allowed to define marriage. State after state voted to define marriage as a man and a woman, often by huge margins. Only a handful, such as Maryland and Minnesota, affirmatively voted for homosexual marriage. But of course, with last years Supreme Court decision on marriage, we aren’t allowed to define marriage anymore.

Regarding this bathroom controversy, I haven’t seen any public opinion polls on the subject. Normally we see polls on everything in the news.

Could it be that the polling done is something like 90-10 against forcing transwhatever males into the ladies room, but that the media just won’t report such polling??

On the other hand, if there were broad popular support for forcing this trans bathroom issue, you can be sure the liberals and media would be publicizing results of such polling.

Our Founders pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their honor to their cause.

Did the Founding Fathers pledge their lives fortunes and sacred honors, for men to go in the ladies room???

...and sue for breach of contract. Looks like who ever was hosting the event would have a clear-cut case here.

I doubt that many institutions in those days had separate facilities for men and women, and if they did, it was in the form of separate privies. Sexually disparate bathrooms were an evolution from the days when we used to perform our bodily functions in holes in the ground. Liberals would like to see us revert to that state, I would guess because plumbing confuses and frightens them.

Then the NBA needs to reimburse the taxpayers of NC the $$$ they forced them to spend to build arena/facility for this game. Last I heard, it was $250 million....

In fact, this issue could unite the Republicans against a small minority that want to impose their will against essentially over 93% of the population of the USA.

Overpaid thugs and punks=NBA for the most part. I haven’t watched an NBA game since the very late 80’s.

Charlotte should simply tell the NBA to take its team and get the hell out if you don’t like the rules.
