I'd like to see Jeff Sessions.

You?

Of course he’ll get Texas. I just looked it up and if I calculated it right, Republican turnout was almost 7% higher than dems in Texas.

Not worried about Florida or Ohio. I’m hopeful for PA, as always ... and NY, of course, but is there even a slim chance of us winning? I heard where turnout was low for both parties but dems still did a bit better (in NY, don’t know the turnout in PA).

No, Sessions needs to be brought onto the staff as a legislative expert and have inner dealings with the House and Senate (something that I think he’s trained to do). Age is a factor as well.

I think Niki Haley ought to be on the final list. She’s been a governor for a couple of years and has shown some capability to handle stress.

Fiorina. Cruz would not need her anyway.

Newt, West, Huckabee, Rudy, Christie but I think it will be Newt. Only one that has ceo knowledge of Congress and deal making there. Huck is Chief, Rudy head of FBI, Christie AG. Someone should make a sheet like sports brackets of top level positions and we could fill them out and see what our bracket was like in a few months.

Agreed, not a affirmative action pick. We want competence & gravitas. No Haley, Martinez, Rubio, or any other geographical choice.

IIRC, Dems always outnumber Repubs in primaries. Also, the closed primaries have a lot of voters who will vote Repub for POTUS in the general.

People register as Dems so they can vote in their local Dem primary and vote for GOP POTUS in the general. But they vote for a Dem POTUS in the primary,

Thanks for that info. I don’t understand why they do that, but it’s good for us.

Another thing, I remembered something Hannity said about being a registered conservative and he couldn’t vote in the Republican primary in NY. Hope there are about a million more like him.

. I hope Donald wins Texas.

I'm ASHAMED the CubanCanadian got any votes at all. Texans should have known better after his record as senator- one of the worst records for not showing up at the senate to do the job we elected him to do, (and Now he's out running for POTUS instead of doing his job in the senate) Add in his atrocious voting record (WANTS TO CUT OUR SENIOR CITIZEN'S SOCIAL SECURITY as one example- Donald does not) and on and on. .

I don’t know about begging letters, but Senator Bill Cassidy of LA voted as a representative with Obama on the runaway budget less than a week after he unseated Mary Landrieu.

Christie would be preferable to me over Haley or Buckeye Kasich.

It will be some insider cronie. Boehner uses the same tanning lotion as trump, so he’d be my first guess.

Any bitter grapes on that breath?

google for yourself but JC appears to have a woman problem and some iffy deals as a lobbyist. My issue with him is that he always seems to be last minute on important decisions.

Some apparently blunt statements can't be recognized as jokes by those not intimately familiar. I try to use somehting to indicate when I'm ding some tongue-in-cheek because what's obvious to me won't necessarily be obvious to others and vice versa.

That said - LOL!
