"..its cheaper to buy a $35,000 robotic arm than it is to hire an employee whos inefficient making $15 an hour bagging French fries,
The 15’ers don;t realize that many mcdonalds are owned locally and their 15 policy will only hurt the local biz owners and employees
$15/hr,based on a 40hr work week= $600/wk, just over $30k/yr + benefits. A robotic arm costs about $35,000. Even factoring in the costs of installing, programming, upgrades, maintenance the cost of the robot will be recovered in about a year, even less time if it replaces more than 1 worker.
Sez the man who should know.
Think of the advances in technology caused by worker’s demands for more than they are worth!
In the olden days this would bring out the Luddites in force but today that requires personal effort.
Cracka robot
It’s all part of Odungo’s plan...robots don’t pay taxes...ensuing layoffs...less taxes...more unemployment,more debt..it will be 35 trillion in no time....congressmen and senators keep stuffing their pockets
What does $ 15 an hour translate to? For a single part time employee that works 20 hours a week that’s $ 15,000 a year. But, for a single work station to be manned for a year you need six employees.
So 6 times $ 15,000 equals $ 90,000 in base salary. Plus all the other federal mandates.
Which is cheaper - $ 90,000 or $ 35,000?
Which one will allow a franchise operator maintain the current price points and stay in business?
BTW - does any Freeper have access to the base pay for E-3? Is it $ 30,0000 or less?
Robot don’t spit on the food, either.
