I have that book. You are correct. It is well written and great history.
LBJ was basically caught red handed stealing the election. Harry Truman sent Abe Fortas down to Texas to rescue him. Totally corrupt. It also makes me think a lot less of Truman.
Caro is not a young man anymore, I am afraid he will never complete the series. It takes about 8-9 years for each book. I have 4 and I am on the Senate years.

I would think many here have higher IQ ,as well as much higher standards of honesty and integrity, than obama.
Nor does a high IQ test score guarantee success without hard work and some support by family and friends. With great support and encouragement much can and has been accomplished by non-geniuses .And many geniuses or near-geniuses have fell short through personal faults or inability to overcome family or social impediments.A young person can be hurt in development from both excessive reference to either smart or stupid.
I am not so certain we need geniuses in charge as much as we need people of true integrity who believe in responsibility, freedom, and justice under Divine Providence.

You can’t tell someone’s IQ by observation. It has to be formally tested or it’s only speculation. The IQ tests on the internet that tell you your IQ is 175 don’t count.
I'll try to paraphrase this as simply as possible:

IDIOT: "Uh, I don't know."

Obama’s no dummy, but I’d say he’s not in the top tier of presidential brains. If you want to go to the top of the intelligence for presidents, Jefferson, Garfield, and (even though I can’t stand the guy) Clinton come to mind. Clinton once gave an entire speech from memory after the teleprompter broke. Obama would be in the second tier with guys like George H. W. Bush and Franklin Roosevelt.
Intelligence doesn’t correlate with how good a president you are; I’m not saying that.
How would he know? Everything about Obama is censored.
