What about mandatory minimum 2 man team patrols? If that means a bit less coverage and slightly extended response times, so be it. If they’re not already doing it.

Also Screwy Louie from NOI said "We need to raise and army of 10,000 black men to kill those that are killing us"(sic) meaning Whites and cops, not black males and Planned Parenthood.

Both police murderers were NOI.

The elephant in the room that no one is talking about is black on White violence.

I don’t see much of a crackdown. Someone charged with murder or attempted murder doesn’t care if they are also charged with a “hate crime” or a crime against a police officer. It’s all symbolic and will have no real effect for as long as the racist communist is in our White House.

I like the idea of assault with bodily injury to a public servant going from misdemeanor to felony, but they already had that by charging appropriately. Mostly, this is just sending “a resolute message”. In other words, nonsense.

>> the Police Protection Act, which? aims to strengthen penalties for crimes committed against police officers.

Is that to say the current law is too permissive?

Nothing against the protection of LEOs, but reactionary legislative action hasn’t been a friend of Constitutional liberty.

The cop killers keep ending up dead. They’ll have to be charged posthumously.

Sorry but police officer's or any other public servant's lives aren't anymore precious than mine or my family's.

All laws have to be for the protection of everyone, not just their chosen few.

Shooting or moving against a police officer with intent to harm should be a capital offence with death penalty upon conviction.

Aww, a “huge move” in my books would be raiding a big BLM meet and killing anything that runs or resists. Kill a hundred of them in one big raid like that and the nonsense would stop... But maybe I’ve been watching too many Eliot Ness movies?

Alright, I understand the sentiment, but just as another gun law doesn’t stop a criminal from obtaining and using a gun in a crime, harsher penalties for cop killers aren’t going to deter a whacko who is already resolved to die in the commission of his crime.

Like their Islamic counterparts (as many have been exposed as being associated with Islam in one form or fashion) they are not concerned about dying. My point is, while this is good to have on the books, it will not be a deterrent.

This is the Republican, law and order, equivalent of feel good legislation. It may be a good idea to charge those who attack LEOs with a higher level of punishment than attacks on civilians. However, such legislation will not stop attacks on policemen. There has been a high mortality rate for the perpetrators in any case. Prosecuting the BLM movement leaders for conspiracy to overthrow the government and, more importantly, the financiers of BLM and other subversive organizations would be far more effective. George Soros, other leftist billionaires, and directors and executives of leftist tax free foundations should be prosecuted for aiding and abetting treason and subversion.

If the fear of prosecution drives Soros and others out of the country, so much the better. A similar fear drove the post-Soviet oligarchs out of Russia after Putin made an example of a few of them. I am no fan of Putin, but he effectively dealt with a huge portion of the corruption that prevailed under Yeltsin in this manner.
