CBS has six new programs starring six white male actors in the fall. So when CBS entertainment president Glenn Geller took the stage at the Television Critics Associations press tour in Beverly Hills on Wednesday morning, it wasnt surprising that the very first question and the second, third and fourth was about the networks commitment to diversity. What message does it send, a reporter asked pointed, that the leads of your shows in the fall are all heterosexual white men?
Im really glad this question came up first because were very mindful at CBS about the importance of diversity and inclusion and Im glad were having this conversation first, Geller said. (snip)
We showed you some photos of 16 new series regulars, 11 of them are diverse, Geller continued. I know theyre not leads, but 11 are diverse and that is our commitment to diversity and those just arent words. That is real action
I wouldnt say were mitigating anything. Those 16 roles were added because the showrunners were adding roles. I think the fact that 11 of them were cast diversely shows our commitment
And I understand certainly the inclination to look at the screen and just look at leads and say, Well, whats going on? Why are you less diverse? But I do think that when were talking about diversity and inclusion, we have to also look behind the camera and there we are doing very well. Our writers are more diverse than last year, our directors and were not finished booking every slot but were on track.

CBS is really being offensive to all the 1/64th Cherokee such as I.

And???
The NFL is the only thing I watch on network TV...and that’s been the case for 20 years.
It sends the message that the network believes that these particular programs will draw the largest audiences for their advertisers.
Right! What a concept! Lol
BET channel?...
I’d respect them if they said, “Look, we’re about making money. Deal with it.”
“White male” used to be a description. Now it’s an accusation along with a conviction.
Are we starting to see more of the left eating their own yet? Will liberals ever look around and say, “Wait a minute? When did I become part of the hated class?” “Dude, you are a white straight person. You are now out of the club and part of the problem.”
Remember the black lives matter march where instructions for the protest were announced on the megaphone and white people were told to go to the back? “This is not your thing. This is for black people. White people march in the back.” AND while some of the white people in the video looked a bit confused, they complied, like good second class supporters of the racist movement. Did any of them have the obvious epiphany? Not yet?
They've almost taken it to the level of sport, they're so aggressive about declaring what offends them.
I don’t watch any current shows so I don’t really care but it is fun to see TV execs squirming and bombastic “critics” ranting. A pox on them all.
Racialist head counts don’t mean much when dollars are at stake.
How about a commitment to shows people will watch? Fake diversity and politically correct embedded lessons has people not watching.
They balance it with having interracial couples on most all commercials.
Could be worse things...Let's see - child molester, murderer...Hell, who am I fooling? There are no worse things than being a white heterosexual male.
CBS probably couldn’t find enough black transexuals.
“11 of them are diverse”
What a perverse definition of “diverse” he uses. These could be 11 identical clones, of the right color/gender/religion/politics, and he would call them “diverse”.

Hmm, so they very assiduously keep track of race, gender, and other demographics in their programming. Obviously you can't get the "right mix" without making some tough calls on casting...
Hmm, making decisions, favoring one person over another based on race...gosh, I know there's a word to describe that behavior, what was it? Oh yeah, "racist."
Every time I hear some libtard proudly proclaim how "diverse" they are and how hard they work to support diversity or how perfect their mix of X, Y, or Z is... All I hear is "I'm intentionally racist, sexist, etc. etc. and make decisions based not on merit but to check some arbitrary box..." In other words: every one of them are hypocritical idiots.
Thexblack community already has their own entertainment network.
