GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Deputies in South Carolina have increased patrols after getting new reports of people dressed as clowns trying to lure children into the woods.
News outlets report that Greenville County sheriff's deputies were called to an apartment complex about 8:20 p.m. Monday that is about 20 minutes from a complex where people reporting seeing clowns last week.

It’s from Seinfeld. In the pic above, the clown is Crazy Joe Davola. He kicked Kramer in the head causing Kramer to randomly shout “Yoyoma” and also answer the phone speaking fluent Italian.
This article says there are now clowns, persons dressed as clowns, AND somebody wearing a clown mask.
The problem is multiplying.

I blame the SC law against men in women’s bathrooms. This wouldn’t happen if men could dress as women and get their victims from the ladies room.

All fun and games until somebody gets shot or their head bashed in. There’s something very primal about fear of clowns, for those who fear them. Mix in lurking around at night and people get very freaked out.
I hate clowns.
