That is incredible that she survived an attack like that.

The article says he got 20 years for the brutal crime.

If he had pleaded self defense, in that he was defending himself from Islamophobia and could have convinced a jury (of his peers), he probably would have been found not guilty, and she would have gotten 20 years (or maybe death) for Islamophobic intolerance. Gotta love that Sharia! </sarc>
