I hear these stories about Irish and British bookmakers paying out early. Why do they do that? Has there cases of the bookies getting it wrong? They take a bath paying out winners and losers?

So if they are so certain that it is all over, what kind of odds is Paddy Power giving now? 1,000 to 1 against Trump? We would never need another Freepathon! (These clowns must be Kennedy family or O’Bama Irish.)

IF this is true (big if) the bookie will wind up paying out the Trump betters as well.

Good plan!

They pay out early for the publicity, and No, they don’t get it wrong.

No bookie pays out for a result that hasn’t occurred.

Unless they are utterly retarded.

Yes. Apparently they haven't learned their lesson, though.

They pulled this stunt last year on the Greek austerity vote... and got it wrong.

Paddy Power is famous for over-the-top public relations schemes. They sponsored Dennis Rodman’s trip to North Korea as well.

I would think that you would pay them out now as the odds are in their favor for the value of the payout right now the odds are 2:11 for Hillary and 9:2 for Trump.

Pay them out and keep your shirt.

Is there any chance that some big financier backed him up in order to get another “Trump is doomed so just give up” story? Bookies don’t make money by taking big risks like this with their own money.

Either they didn’t have much action on it such that the free publicity from the early payout is worth the risk of loss, or this is a hoax. There’s otherwise zero incentive for a bookie to pay out any bet before the outcome is decided.

a $1M pay out is a drop in the bucket, it's more of an in-kind donation to attempt to steer the narrative.

Besides, Millenials don't gamble, they're too poor, so not sure who it was supposed to sway.

What does Paddy Power know that 300 million American voters and 50 million dead democrats don’t know?

Paddy Power did the same thing before the 2012 election. If you bet on 0bama over Romney, Paddy Power paid out a couple of weeks before the election. Unfortunately, the gamblers are usually correct. They bet based on their pocket book, not on their heart and soul.
