The long-awaited 2016 election day is finally here, and it could be a historic one for a number of different reasons. The United States could elect its first female president Hillary Clinton; Republicans could take back the White House with Donald Trump after two terms of Democratic control; there could be record voter turnout and the leading campaign election night parties will both be in New York.

I woke up twice in the night and checked my phone for the news...thanking God when I saw where things might be headed. I finally woke up between midnight and 1:30...I cannot remember exactly, and watched TV for a couple of hours.
I say all that to say this: Now that a MONTH has gone by, I am going back and looking at the election night coverage on the networks.
Today I saw the ABC version...not every minute of every hours, but just hit some of the highlights.
I saw, in the CENTER of this "election night" panel, a long haired black guy who basically was there as the resident Trump hater. Never heard of him, so I had to look him up. LZ Granderson is his name...apparently he is a sports writer on ESPN, and is a homosexual.
Uh, folks, this is the guy ABC "NEWS" wanted to make the central discussion guy for its election night coverage? Not even a NEWS person? A SPORTS guy, HATES Trump, and has the other so-called anti-conservative politics identities that come with being black and homosexual?
Really, ABC?
So I listened a little bit...and yep, he wasn't all that brilliant with his comments. His fellow talking heads seemed a bit embarrassed by his ramblings.
Frankly, I'd never heard of the guy before. I was just amazed that a major news network would be so devoted to identity politics and labeling of people they would put someone like him as a major all night contributor to Election Night coverage.
Don't have time to go into detail, but just one instance: he tried to get into an argument with RINO consultant Alex Castellanos (is that spelled right?) about how Trump hated huge swaths of Americans.
Lame.
And ESPN wonders why they’re losing viewers.
Posting an 8+ hour video without hinting at what time-markers to look at is not helpful. Any suggested time slots?
Tasty liberal tears!
I just looked at the video. You can find this ESPN guy at 3 hours and 37 minutes into the video. He might appear earlier than that.
Dyin’ over here!!! Lol! It’s perfect!
He is the only long haired black guy in the middle of the discussion panel. All over the eight hour vid.
Well, after taking assorted ganders at the video, it's kind of like looking into a cesspool. No matter where or when you take a look, it is the same $hit just getting deeper by the minute with every EV tally showing Trump winning.
SURPRISE!
I sampled a few spots. Idiocy was on full display. I spun to the end to see the televised funeral.
I’ve watched dozens of hours of election coverage since November 8th. Some of it is fascinating.
One of the best programs I saw is not from election night and not from the U.S. - Jones & Company from Australia. It has some excellent analysis as to why Trump won and Clinton lost: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrlonvgywtQ&t=1300s The third guy who joins the conversation at a little past the 8 minute mark is terrific, right on the money!
That there is funny!
ABC couldn’t even admit that Trump had won until after he had accepted.
I have watched a few of them too. On one of them, I think it was ABC, their polling expert was still predicting a 2% win for Hillary in Pennsylvania with 80% of the vote in. Even with all the data staring them in the face and they still called it wrong.
I was watching coverage on CNN and my favorite part was when the guy working the map said, “At this point we have to wonder if Hillary Clinton has even a single path to the White House.” Wolf Blitzer’s face went pale.
I remember that exact exchange. I think that’s when we switched over to FBN, but we were enjoying the CNN melt-down up to that point.
Flipped through all the networks but I liked CNN's election coverage the best. The interactive, county-by-county map they were using that showed the percentage of the returns counted, remaining, and percentage of that particular state was very informative. And when they needed to, they could show the exact same info from 2012.
That was a brilliant device and my hat is off to the team that developed it.
This stream is ABC News Digital - if you want to see the ones that are ABC New Broadcast - look for things that say ABC news xxx hour, such as 10 pm hour, 11 pm, etc.
here is the link to the 1 am hour, during which the roof finally fell in (if I recall correctly) on HRC
This includes a grim-faced Stephanopoulos
