I saw a new Reuters article entitled "Crowd controversy: The making of an Inauguration Day photo ," which reported that the popular images to the left and right of the CNN images ( taken from this panorama view ), were taken at different times, the one on the right of President Barack Obama's first inauguration was taken at 1:27 p.m., while Reuters reported that the other one showed U.S. President Donald Trump's inauguration at 12:01 p.m.
Meanwhile, the CNN image shows Trump giving his speech, and it appears a lot of people showed up. Perhaps the traffic was such that it caused this. Interesting comparison I would say.

11:20 AM in Washington, DC
When did Trump get sworn in?
The left photo at the Trump rally was taken early in the morning as people were arriving. It is not what I saw during the inauguration. Who knows who had more people. It is just great that Marxism got rejected and a big FU to CNN and their lies.
Our local Fox Philadelphia morning news show was showing the comparison photo with 8 am vs 11:30 for Obama’s. But they purposely cut off the Trump time stamp....enlarged the pgoto enough that the 8 wasn’t showing. Then they go on to make a snide joke saying “gee I don’t see much of a difference...hahaha”
Note that the CNN image is taken with the Capital building in the rear and does not show as much distance, while the others are looking forward, so it is hard to judge. But a lot of people do seem to have arrived by the time Trump gave his speech, even if the crowd may not be as large as Obama’s was.
I bet there is a video feed that ran in each inauguration, maybe c-span, wherein one could capture matching timestamp pictures. at the swearing in, at the president’s speech, appears the mall was full. Same with both presidents. It is propaganda for media to ignorantly or intentionally mismatch photos to further their agenda.
THey also required people in the more remote viewing areas to go through magnetometers for the first time, and this slowed the rate at which the crowd filled-in. So even a photo taken at the same time in Obama vs. Trump would not account for this difference.
The ground truth is in the Gigapixel posted by (even) CNN. It plainly shows the size of the crowd while Trump is speaking and those remote areas are full. Why is this even being argued about?
There are several versions of the left photo circulating that show a 9:02 am time stamp. Three hours before the ceremony.
The issue’s moot anyway, since the MSM created a straw man by quoting Spicer inaccurately, then refuting their own false quote. He never claimed the crowd size for Trump was larger. What he said was that more people watched the event both here and around the world. He was referring to TV, Cable, Satellite, streaming video, etc.
I know. My wife and I watched. The only one ever. Did not watch either of 0dunga’s.
Almost exactly at noon.
Thus, the picture from 11:20 AM Eastern was taken about 40 minutes before the inauguration. As is clearly shown in the CNN "Gigapixel" photo, the national mall was almost completely full of spectators by the time President Trump's inauguration occurred.
Additionally, it is incontrovertible that stringent security procedures made it much more difficult for spectators to enter the mall and other areas in a timely manner.
Thus, side-by-side comparisons of the attendance for President 0bama's inauguration in 2009 vs. President Trump's inauguration last Friday are rather problematic, inasmuch as there were different security procedures in place.
There's also substantial anecdotal evidence that federal employees, sympathetic to the 0bama administration and Democrats in general, were motivated to impede attendance in whatever petty ways they could. That fact, combined with the knowledge that violent, Soros-sponsored protests were in the works, further blunted attendance on the national mall.
Notwithstanding these factors, it should be obvious to all but the most hysterical Democrat malcontents that, not only was the attendance at President Trump's inauguration quite impressive, including in terms of the TV audience, but, when other viewers are considered (such as online streaming), President Trump's inauguration was viewed live by more People than any inauguration in U.S. history.
And regardless, it's also clear to all the People that the photograph showing large amounts of "white space" on the national mall is the epitome of "fake news" from the Establishment and Media (but I repeat myself), amounting to nothing nothing more than clumsy, transparent, and impotent propaganda spread with the sole intent of denigrating President Trump's historic day.
As such, we can expect large numbers of everyday Americans to become increasingly alienated from the Democrat party, which seems to be obsessed with identity politics, and primarily composed of vile, hateful race- and gender-hustlers who don't have the Peoples' interests at heart.
These Democrat haters and their ilk are utterly shameful, lashing out ever more hysterically as their influence steadily wanes, and they are forced to face their own profound impotence...
I know its probably impossible. But does anyone have a rational estimate that is probably accurate?
That time seems about right.
That is quite a pic.
Sworn @ 1:59 PM EST.
You might want to put this in your file. Just in case certain family members bring it up. One has in a round a bout way.
How much time has CNN spent showing pictures of the mess, the hags and nags left, for WDC sanitation department to clean up?
The MSM is heavily invested in marginalizing the Country’s support for Trump. The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.
