President Trump is learning that there isn’t a heck of a lot of difference between the republican establishment and the democrat establishment.

He was elected because of his outsider status.

Sooner or later he will have to bring in knowledgeable outsiders to put together the legislation he needs to implement his agenda.

He cannot rely on the old line establishment insiders to bring legislation forward that upsets the systems and policies that they themselvs spent years building.

Sure - they talk a good game to get elected but year after year we see it is just talk.

They railed against Obamacare for 7 years and promised to kill it in every election.

But when we finally gave them the power to do it by electing a republican president and majorities in both houses we find out that they didn’t even have a rudimentary plan ready to go.

At least Obamacare let people choose whether to buy health insurance or not.

I don't think so. "Mandate" means they are compelled to have insurance. No choice.

“want to allow states to automatically enroll the uninsured in health plans.”

Can’t states individually already do this? VT tried single payer and CA is trying it now. It’s really, really stupid, but states can do this... as long as the rest of the country doesn’t have to pay for the folly which is probably the case here.

Not the GOP, Marxists/socialists regardles of their party. Democrats are notorious for entering the ranks of the conservatives in order to distort, suppress and pervert the goals of the conservatives. Collins and many others are examples of this.

I have been keeping an eye on this, along with the tax bill, the Dodd-Frank bill and what is going on with Comey...

I see where the Representatives want ‘their ideas’ put into the health care plan, and the Senators want ‘their ideas’ put into the plan, then some taken out, other stuff put in, so by the time it gets to the President's desk, it will NOT be the plan he wants for America...so he will send it back, and then more haggling...this is the way Congress gets what they want...well folks, time for us to pick up the sword again and get the government OUT of our health care...it's up to us and only up to us...

There are several ways to do this, most failing way, call and write your representatives and senators, snail mailing them only goes in the shredder...so maybe we should plan a ‘huge’ rally in D.C. to let them know we ‘are not going to take it anymore’...

We can plan before August before they ‘go away again for time off’ or we can plan it for after...but whenever we plan it, we need to make it ‘huge’ I'm sure President Trump would love a ‘rally’ and I know we would, I miss them...

So lets start planning, tents, motel rooms, RV’s, etc. whatever it takes, we have to ‘fight’ to get what WE want!!!

Ryan and McConnell (toadies of Romney) DEMAND RomneyCARE
remain --- irrespective of what the GOP Promised Americans
to get elected.

THEY ARE LIARS and could have repealed their seizure
of Americans' medical care and rights, but they have
not for 2 reasons.

1. They HATE Pres. Trump, and know this is a proverbial
dagger to his heart because he PROMISED to repeal this.

2. They obey and love RAT Romney who installed RomneyCARE
with Ted Kennedy to save BAIN and Romney money, after the
two left a wake of destroyed and raped companies.

RE:”Few provisions within Obamacare have proved less popular than the individual mandate, which requires all Americans to secure insurance or pay a fine. Unfortunately, some Senate Republicans are proposing a replacement that's even worse.
As part of their bid to repeal Obamacare, Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, want to allow states to automatically enroll the uninsured in health plans”

You cant have a mandate on insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions without forcing people to be insured in the first place. In fact part of the reason Obama is imploding is the personal mandate in it is so weak so mainly the sick and old are paying in.

Since that first mandate is SO popular that even Trump promised to keep it, the results are entirely predictable.

Nothing gets done.

"s part of their bid to repeal Obamacare, Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, want to allow states to automatically enroll the uninsured in health plans."

Collins is looking for an excuse to vote no, she doesn't need to we already know is will say Nay, Please... Cassidy, I have no idea what their problem is.

What IBD isn't taking about.

My State Senator is a big proponent of Direct Primary Care ( DPC ). ( if you don't know what it is google it ). He posted on social media the other day he was headed to DC to me w/ Dr Price, and I think Seema Verma and this was in regards to a big DPC conference.

Does anyone get how big that is?

If I am not incorrect here, by not getting totally rid of Obamacare thereby giving Dr Price the same "Administrator Shall" authority that Sebilius had, perhaps DPC + HSA's are coming with universal ability to use the HSA's tax free dollars to enroll in a DPC is a game changer. So the big question is, can HHS Secretary Dr Price do this without Congress, my guess is yes.

I have no idea that all I typed above is a given, but if Dr Price can get rid of the "Qualified Plan" and allow HSA's+DPC which can equal savings of 20 to 30% ( low estimate, the high end number is much, much better ) How does this not negate all the verbal nonsense coming out of the Senate?

Team Trump is doing real work at the team level, every freaking department is going for best practices. It is Demming / Six Sigma being implemented in "The Swamp" whether they like it or not.

Good gosh, I am a nobody to these folks in fly over country and even I see it...

Obama created a nightmare destined to collapse in order to generate a single payer national healthcare system.

It will collapse in the next year or so.

Whoever is in power at the time will shoulder the blame, REGARDLESS of polls.

It is ESSENTIAL to repeal it, replace it with a free market alternative which allows people to buy healthcare cover across state lines, removes mandated coverages, provides protection for those people ruined by losing their coverage through Obamacare and FORCED into the exchanges, and provide the kind of Medicaid for indigent CITIZENS which existed before the Kenyan Katastrophy created this damn mess!

....want to allow states to automatically enroll the uninsured in health plans.....

Someone help me out here, and I am not looking to bash the Senate. Why is a law like this needed? The tenth amendment seems to already take care of this issue.

One reason I really didn't have a problem with RomneyCare as a legal entity--if Massachusetts didn't like it, they could dump it.

The way I understand the Constitution the states don't need permission to do a lot of stuff. Someone help me out here.
