New geochemical research indicates that existing theories of the formation of the Earth may be mistaken. The results of experiments to show how zinc (Zn) relates to sulphur (S) under the conditions present at the time of the formation of the Earth more than 4 billion years ago, indicate that there is a substantial quantity of Zn in the Earth

Oh Gee! I’m crushed!!!!

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Really, Washington Post? I have no doubt how the Earth was formed.
I think someone balled up some mud and gave it a squeeze then threw it in an orbit around a star.
I wonder if anybody will bother to read the article and understand it. Based on the first six comments I’d say it’s unlikely.
>I wonder if anybody will bother to read the article and understand it.
For many, it’s simply magic.
“I wonder if anybody will bother to read the article “
I’m not about to start doing that now.
I read it but I am not sure I have the science background to understand how they arrived at the conclusion.
Part of it may be the way that science articles are written. There is an assumption of some background knowledge of terms and buzz words that I’m evidently deficient in.
All they are claiming is that a different type of chondrite is the basic building block of the Earth.
The headline is terrible, but many these days are. I thought the article was going to be about the collision that formed the Earth and Moon.
The source is the Watts Up With That? blog - not the Washington Post.
I read it an understood it. The real problem is there is just to damn many unknown variables, thus it is interesting but that is all. There may be some good science come from this but at this point it does not mean much.
Yes! I was just reading Psalm 33 and it, too, boldly declares the creation power of God.
I read it but didn’t understand it. Be aware, though, that a science thread without reference to Jesus is unthinkable.
This is the correct source and link:

“...a science thread without reference to Jesus is unthinkable.”
a creation thread without reference to Jesus is unthinkable.
There, fixed it.
“how zinc (Zn) relates to sulphur (S”
Back in the 1960`s we made zinc-sulfur rockets.
Nope. Creation threads can be expected to have Jesus. Science threads cannot be left unmolested.
There has to be advanced civilizations out there that can show us the video!
