Prior to the Sunday Night Football game against the Raiders and Dolphins, the Football Night in America crew on NBC discussed the Texans' sputtering situation at quarterback, with a couple analysts making the suggestion the team should pick up Colin Kaepernick.
With Deshaun Watson lost for the season due to a torn ACL, analysts Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison called for the Texans to pick up Kaepernick, who has not played in an NFL game since Jan. 1 with the 49ers and has been the subject of controversy due to his decision to protest the national anthem as a response to police brutality toward people of color.
"Sign Colin Kaepernick. You don't have good quarterback play. When you have a mobile quarterback, your offense looks different. There is a mobile quarterback out there to get," Dungy said.
The analysts indicated that the Texans' offense cannot be successful with a traditional pocket passer like Tom Savage at the helm.
"I agree with you. As a player, I would lose all respect for my coaches and my organization if there was a guy out there that actually started a Super Bowl that is better than the guy that we have. How do you have confidence in your coach? How can you trust what your coach is trying to sell, the system that he is trying to sell, when he is not doing everything in his power to win football games?" Harrison added.

Please sign colon cancer, please the brothahs needs to be shown how to kaeprernick the right way and spread Negro fatigue Syndrome. NFS will chase away patriotic Americans and end the BLM/NFL if the thugs have their way.
Agree 100%, and nice metaphor.
I’d rather have Tim Tebow.
Yup. Teams will put up will all kinds of insanity for even a halfway decent quarterback.
If the Broncos don’t want him...
The problem with much of Black Christianity today is that Black comes before Christianity, which makes them fake Christians.
If they want a has-been former quarterback, they should sign Joe Theismann. Joe could actually play. His injury? I saw it happen, but that’s been years. I’m sure he’s fully healed.
The NFL will never clean up this mess, they are really that stupid.
I guess you haven’t seen Alex Smith and Carson Wentz play lately. Or Joe Montana, Steve Young, Fran Tarkenton, or Greg Landry back in the day...
Oh Please, do it.
I wouldn’t hire him just because he’s made himself too much of a distraction.
Every time I read an article like this, I recall the quarterback who took over an 0-4 team, led them to the playoffs, beat the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs and was let go at the end of the season. I just don’t recall the public hue and cry for another team to sign Tebow...
Before any team signs him, how about he cancel his termination of his contract with the 49ers?
They both deserve each other.
Disgusting. Cannot believe I used to like and respect Harrison and Dungy. These racist jerks are an embarrassment. Its always color first and foremost. Dungy should know better as a coach. The masks are off. F em.
Very few people will voice that truth.
Is football racist?? and anti Christian? or are they just plain stupid?
We want you to spend millions on a washed up qb who will try to offend your fans.
Why doesn’t Football Night in America hire him?
I guess you havent seen Alex Smith and Carson Wentz play lately
You’re right. I’m boycotting.
In one year, Tebow single-handedly almost destroyed the NFL’s popular thug reputation - a reputation team owners and players had spent decades building - with his off-putting behavior on and off the field.
Many NFL players and fans became mad at Tebow and wanted him gone. Billionaire team owners were powerless to stand up to thug culture so an NFL quarterback with an above average number of wins was excised from the league.
Even today that sounds strange. But recent events have shown just how weak - pathetically weak - NFL owners are.
