“Build nuclear reactors
to light your life and town.”
Because nothing EVER goes wrong with nuclear power! ;)

Compare the number of deaths attributed to nuclear reactors
to the deaths attributed to coal mining. :p

Why? Think of the money you’d save
on night lights and hair brushes.

***Was your friend a city boy***
Believe it or not he was a country boy who could do real well in the country. But he lacked some common sense and often did real stupid things like put too much black powder in a muzzle loader because he didn’t have a measure.
Hard to believe he had never been more than 35 miles away from home till he was almost 30 years old, and had never been to a cafe till the same age.

Where's the nearest neighboring well, particularly upstream from you in the aquifer?
No telling what could go down somebody else's abandoned well, like a direct injection into the aquifer.
I don't know which state you live in but Oklahoma's geological survey is all online now, and it includes a map of all logged (known) water wells.
I believe it was back in the 70's, water well drillers were required to have a state license and to log each well drilled.

Many years ago, my aunt lived in a town that drew its water from artesian wells. It was the best water ever. But the gov’t made them start treating it and it became just like any other tap water.
So “raw water” isn’t always a bad thing.

There has been no cattle around here in years, so where did it come from? Canada Geese.

That doesn't surprise me much. Rather than listen to sage advice, some people have to touch the fire to learn that it is hot.
My fingers have felt the heat a few times I confess.
