A controversial US bishop raised a few eyebrows in the chapel with his fiery address at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. The Most Reverend Michael Curry mentioned slavery, the Old Testament and quoted the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in his unusual speech. The passionate preacher provoked a few chuckles in the chapel - and even Harry and Meghan couldn't help but snigger at one point. Meanwhile Prince William seemed to be desperately trying to hold back a fit of giggles as Rev. Curry talked about how 'fire made it possible to text and tweet’.

I’ve been looking for a post about the Royal Wedding. I liked Bishop Curry’s sermon. But, what really surprised me, was when the pastor said sin, instead of trespasses during the Lord’s Prayer.
I’m amazed this wedding was so traditional, with lots of comments about man and woman joining under G-d, to have children. I’m amazed the Gaystapo didn’t command that the pastor leave out those parts.
I had to mute him whilst I took a well-deserved loo break after the pot of tea I gulped down.
Very traditional wedding, and yet the bride dropped “obey” from her vows. She must feel very strongly about that. Poor Harry.
Cringeworthy.....I tried to watch.......He was an embarassment!

I have only have one FB friend left who is a Progressive and he’s flaming Progressive. He posted this morning about how the Holy Spirit was speaking through Curry, so I knew that it would be typical SJW Humanist crap with a thin veneer of Christianity.
Just read the “sermon”. Yep. Typical SJW Humanist crap. “Jesus started a movement” where if WE could learn to love, WE could create “a new heaven, a new earth, a new world”.
There are people who hate us.
As usual, liberals miss the irony of their fake sermonizing about love.

I saw it live and thought it was a solid basic Bible and Jesus centered sermon on God’s Love: Jesus citing the Shema and to love one’s neighbor as oneself as summing up all the laws of the prophets, God’s sacrificial love for us in John 3:16, etc, told with a passion and zeal that might never have been heard in St. Georges before. The contrast with the listless and nasally high pitched vicar was striking - he seemed right out of Monty Python central casting.
The black bishop went long and rambled a bit near the end but I thought the rest of his sermon was solid old school preachin Jesus. The MSM completely misunderstood misquoted as usual (’bomb of Gilead’ - the context was that we are all one, master and slave, male and female, in Christ Jesus, perfectedly traditional). He went long and apologized (’Well, we gotta get y’all married here, so...’), which got a good laugh.
The younger royals were not sniggering in disrespect - I thought they were smiling with respect, with at most maybe some grimning inaudible comments like ‘Well, this is new.’ The MSM of course spin it in the worst possible light to try to maje fun of Bible centered Christianity.
Prince Charles looked like he was sucking on lemons the whole time. George Clooney was smirking.
