A job hunter claims he has been unfairly discriminated against after he was rejected by dozens of employers over his enormous neck tattoo.
Joe Parsons, 21, got the $330 six-inch throbbing red heart with turquoise angel wings in memory of his late grandfather while he worked in a factory.
But he claims that, while he has no problem getting around 30 interviews, he has never managed to get a job thanks to his huge inking.
He has tried attending interviews wearing high-necked shirts but the tips of the wings still peek out above the collar line.
Parsons, from Manchester, England, insists he doesnt regret getting the extreme body art but wishes potential bosses could see past it.
He said: Before I got the tattoo people thought I was a happy, confident person. Now it feels like people think Im full of my self and that I dont give a damn.
Thats just not who I am. Im just a normal person and all I want is a decent job.
Theres definitely a stigma attached which there shouldnt be. I do think its a form of discrimination.
Its not down to the skills I have and in every interview they havent given me a good reason. Now I feel like Ive got dont hire me written all over my neck.

Well NO SH!T..
All choices have consequences, neck and face tats narrow your employment fields, drastically.
Now I feel like Ive got dont hire me written all over my neck.
Yup....that’s pretty much what it says.
Marko
Or he can sit and do nothing.
Stupid is as Stupid does.
It’s also a form of discrimination when one’s decides to take a crap inside their pants versus outside their pants.
It’s not just the hair. Many of the young men these days dress like toddlers. Cargo shorts, sandals, and a funny or “ironic” t-shirt.
I don't get the appeal at all. Tattoos are ugly and do absolutely nothing to improve the appearance of a person. I see a lot of women now have them on their feet or ankles. Why?
I was in the military where it was considered fashionable to have a tattoo on your arm. But you would never notice them in the business environment as a long sleeve shirt would conceal them. Even at that, I saw no appeal in having a tattoo. Why do you want to look like you just came out of a jailhouse?
LOL...that is a visual right there!
Thank goodness a wardrobe can be changed and hair can be cut!
That’s actually a pretty funny tattoo!
And, it has the added advantage of being hidden under a shirt...
Have the tattoo removed.
What did he think was going to happen with that ugly thing? He doesn’t have to look at it!
Not too long ago, my husband and I had a restaurant server covered in tattoos done with ugly colors and huge holes in his ears. It was so ugly it ruined my appetite.
I have never understood why people get tattoos. The colors are either grayish and dull, or garish, but none of them look natural or attractive. Yet they call it “body art”. Yech.
StarF*cks will soon be hiring people to clean up the feces in middle of the bathroom floor, the drug needles in the sink and the bodily fluids in the hookers' stalls.
This idiot and StarF*cks are getting their just desserts for their poor choices in life and in business.
What sane employer wants their staff to look like the bar scene in the original Star Wars?
The article is from Nov. 10, 2017, surely he’s found a spot the hospitality sector by now.
BTW, what job skills does working briefly for TJ Maxx confer?
“Decides to...” is discrimination. If you decide to do something you are discriminating among possible actions and should be sent to Re-Education Camp.
A few years back I went to Disneyland on unofficial Goth Day (I was dressed in black as usual but wasnt one of that crowd). One young lady had on her shoulder blade a black and red tattoo of a 1940s style lady at the moment the lady shoots herself in the head. Very gory. It made me think that someday shell have to explain that to her future husband, kids or grandkids.
It is descrimination!
Its also common sense and logical discernment.
What is common sense?
What is logical?
What is truth? Theres still just One Lord that rings true, and always will.
