It seems that we have a few new technologies that becomes commonplace everywhere, and completely changes the world.
Here is roughly what I understand they have been call:
Late 50s to late 60s: television, rocketry
Late 60s to late 70s: (not sure, handheld calculators and digital watches? Cassette players?)
80s: the use of electronics everywhere, home PCS
90s: internet, pagers, cell phones appear
2000s fast internet, flip phones, digital photography, digital music
2010's: smartphones, social media, digital movies
I know those dates are not exact, but pretty close.
So what do you think the big technology trends that will change the world we live in the 2020s will be?
I got an ad and for about 250 dollars, y'get this unit that will translate your native language into a desired language and the other language speaks and gets translated into your native language.

Maybe augmented reality, ie. proper smart glasses, a HUD in a car, things like that. Actually useful information on the go, right in front of your face.

A running gag in it was the replacement of TP with the never explained “three seashells”.
I think the automatic self driving cars which could be called autocars or, heh heh, automobiles, are being introduced in a stealth fashion with all the new sensor operated features in the high end car. You can’t tell me there won’t be a full autopilot within the next five years.

Facial recognition goes mainstream.
We don’t need technology advances. We need a population that refuses to be lied to by the media. One that does not-rush blindly after every silly-a$$ fad invented by morons. A people who appreciates contact with other humans, and does not bury its faces in an electronic device so that it doesn’t have to look at the people around it.
Technology won’t save us.
No one ever tried to make meat taste like vegetables...
And graphene.
