Hillary Clinton is setting her sights on a new office: executive producer.
The former secretary of state is teaming with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television to bring Elaine Weiss' critically acclaimed book The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote to the small screen. The drama will mark Clinton's debut as an exec producer.
The book, published in March, follows the activists who led the decades-long fight to grant women the right to vote and sheds light on how close the battle to ratify the 19th Amendment really was. The book celebrates those who changed history and laid the foundation for the civil rights movement that came decades later.
[snip] Amblin TV, a division of Spielberg's Amblin Pictures, will shop The Woman's Hour to premium cable (think HBO, Showtime) or streaming platforms (a la Netflix, Apple, Amazon and Hulu). Clinton will exec produce alongside Amblin TV co-presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey and author/journalist Weiss.
"At the heart of democracy lies the ballot box, and Elaine Weiss' unforgettable book tells the story of the female leaders who in the face of towering economic, racial and political opposition fought for and won American women's right to vote. Unfolding over six weeks in the summer of 1920, The Woman's Hour is both a page-turning drama and an inspiration for everyone, young and old, male and female, in these perilous times. So much could have gone wrong, but these American women would not take no for an answer: their triumph is our legacy to guard and emulate," Clinton said. "I am thrilled to be working with Elaine, Steven and everyone at Amblin Television on bringing this important project to audiences everywhere."

This is both interesting and hilarious!
Some time after 2008 Spielberg tried for months, to coach Hillary with the goal to make her more likable, in person and in media, at her home.
He brought video cameras and other expensive professional equipment and rehearsed over and over to "get it right."
Spielberg gave up when the beach Shrillary threw a fit and kicked the tripod holding the expensive equipment across the room.
TOTAL PROJECT FAIL!!
Her mental and cognitive functions today have deteriorated beyond hope, and much worse!
Who does Netflix think will watch any pathetic performances produced by the Ugly, Fat Cow, Smelly, Undindicted bitch?
Just possible that Rudy has something on Spielberg....kinda, maybe like Schneiderman.
You know...I’ve watched the video at least 300 times. The choreography of the Secret Service amazes me. It’s like they know she’s in some major weakened state and will collapse, and they can’t allow that to be seen by the public. There must be fifteen of them around her and involved in dumping her into the Scooby-mobile.
You mean she hasn't already received the Emmy for her efforts?
“Who does Netflix think will watch any pathetic performances produced by the Ugly, Fat Cow, Smelly, Undindicted bitch?”
She is not producing it. Spielberg will. Like Obama didn’t write his book.
Agreed. Not only will they not show that SBA was pro-life, they certainly won’t show that she was Republican. The only reason the women vote was close was because the Democrats were adamantly opposed to it.
Why not? After all AL Gore is an Oscar winner.
Is that pathetic attempt still on the air?
It started strong, but I stopped watching when it went all LGBTQWERTYXYZ and pro-Koranimal...
A distinction without a difference.
Who writes the checks sets the agenda...
Exec producer can mean anything from the waterboy to a major investor. I’m sure since Weinstein has been shamed out of business and out of prestige that the Liberals, particularly the Clintons have been looking for a new sugardaddy in Hollywood to help them create propaganda and sew their themes of the downtrodden poor and of oppressive capitalists.
“Emmy winner Hillary Clinton?”
That should read “Enema winner”.

trust the plan
Hilarious!
Haven’t there been enough movies and TV shows dealing with this subject going back decades? So now we need Hillary’s take on this. I can’t wait to see how this plays out.
Hmmm...
A movie celebrating the Republican women who fought for the right to vote?
Produced by Hillary Clinton?
“Who writes the checks sets the agenda...”
The checks and the agenda are not the primary motivations. The MSM will exclaim how remarkably talented she is as a producer and the American people were tricked into not electing her president and should elect her president next time.
Hillary trying to promote herself as a protector of women’s rights is laughable given her history. Talk about hiding in plain sight.
