An autopsy found that financier Jeffrey Epstein sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones, according to two people familiar with the findings, deepening the mystery about the circumstances around his death.
Among the bones broken in Epstein's neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam's apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older, according to forensics experts and studies on the subject. But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation, the experts said.

The question is how did Epstein generate enough force to break bones in his neck without the impact pf a drop? They are postulating he hung himself while kneeling.

Are you purposely obtuse or is it just accidental? Let me guess the other 45 people that were associated with the clintons really did commit suicide to write?.. I mean seriously have you looked at all of the coincidences that have to happen for it to be a suicide successfully? It is actually acceptable to use your brain to think logically a question instead of just pulling things off the internet.
I feel like a genius. I told my husband and a friend days ago that the most logical scenario was that he was strangled. It was murder, but who did it? Fellow inmates? Probably not because that would not explain other events surrounding this mystery. This needed the cooperation of folks on the inside.
I wonder what the bruising and trauma patterns on the skin revealed.

A "choke hold" as performed by an expert martial artist is specifically a block of the carotid artery and is the most effective way to neutralize a threat quickly (7-10 seconds). However, it is generally immediately reversible if it is released quickly and would not damage the hyoid. If you wish to kill someone, manual strangulation is perhaps more effective. Using the fingers to directly collapse the larynx, or trachea would be likely to result in a broken hyoid; the advantage being once the airway is collapsed you can continue your mission and the enemy will not be reviving. Using a garrote generally compresses both the carotid and the airway, and can also damage the hyoid.
