I am going to a local Nebraska State Park.
Boil all the doorknobs one final time.
The CV outbreak has nothing to do with my decision. I had made up my mind to start easing myself out of the work world when I became a grandfather. Also having some old pals drop dead from heart attacks at their desks over the last couple of years has also concentrated my mind. They never had a chance to play at grandparents, I’m going to.
I’m retired so not much has changed... I can’t see any neighbors by design, surrounded by 87000 acres of USFS on 3 sides, can hunt & fish whenever I want and head to the grocery store every couple weeks...
Planning on Sturgis this summer but not a big deal if it gets canceled.
I’m good...
I am waiting for a liver, so I won’t be changing anything.
Go back to work for now.
I’m going to visit my Grandchildren and apologise for leaving them in so much debt.
Rent a rural log cabin in the mountains for a few days, and trout fish.
Drink some wine and eat some cheese and catch a few rays, you know.
Oddball, Worlds Greatest Tanker
Back to work.
Loaves and fishes would be a great meal idea. :)
I’ll tell you what I’m going to do my fellow Navy Vet. I servfed in Korea in 1950-1954.
I’m going to work my old almost worn out ass of on restoring America to the nation of my youth. This means making things right here at home that once again set high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship that led the world, which Cheapjack China, rippeded off of us, which Western capital and know how built into our formidable economic, social, and political enemy to be as strong and dangerous as it is.
President Trump has given me hope and inspiration that this can, should and must be done. That will fulfill both the president’s and my dreams to make America Great Again.
I expect the same kind of abuse and hatered the president is enduring< but not at as intense or well capitalized as he is fighting. And, I am inspired to have him prove that we old men still have what it takes to still fight for our beloved country.
So, what are the rest of us, old and young vets and others going to do to prove the president isright, that old men can still do real things for a real return to an older real America?
Tell me about it, because I’m most eager and anxious to hear your pledges and plans as well.
I’m staying in my basement. I detest people.
I am gonna say I told you so, suckers.
Have a Corona. With a twist of lime...
Learn how to type sentences that are understandable..........
Two granddaughters and a grandson due in weeks. This shut down has made missing them awful due to no contact.
Being a granddad is the best feeling in the world for me right now.
I find I'm a hellava lot more careful with them than I was with my own kids :)
You, my dear, are a troublemaker.
;-)
Im going to spend my stimulus money supporting the many restaurants run by families in my Greek Orthodox community
Move as we planned and really get serious about the prepping.
Buy more ammo.
And a shotgun.
And more ammo.
Our old people are one of our greatest treasures and assets. It has broken my heart to see so many statements that ‘it only kills the old and infirm.’
It’s not true, to start with; and the loss of the elders is a horrible loss of vision, wisdom and experience. We don’t currently have an education system - or system of values - that will replace them with people of the same caliber.
