A true legend indeed. My wife and I saw him with a full band in a tiny venue in Virginia a few years ago. I’ve been to many live shows and that was in my top five. I’m glad I got to see him perform before he died.

I saw him at the exit in on Elliston place right before Eddie ODed in Waco

I called my cousin .....a commie in San Francisco who’s never the less a true axe man in his own right who makes a living at it sometimes

No kidding I was blown away ....Eddie Shaver was an incredible guitar player...just wow.....and from 15 feet away .....

My wife who didn’t know Shaver from Shinola but who knows her rock music was like dayum.....this is country?

Jurors returned a not guilty verdict Friday evening in the aggravated assault of Central Texas singer-songwriter Billy Joe Shaver, 70, who was accused of shooting Billy Bryant Coker in 2007 outside of Papa Joe’s Saloon in Lorena, Texas.
