A Federal Aviation Administration advisory group is urging the agency to replace words like “airman” and “cockpit” with gender-neutral terms like “aviator” and “flight deck.”
The FAA’s Drone Advisory Committee put forth the recommendations in a report released Wednesday, part of a broader push for equity in the agency and aviation industry.

You have to remember this is just another attempt for these people to justify their sick minds. The origin of the word is not what matters only what goes on below the waist.

I remember 1970 when the auto industry tried to change the name from “Driver’s seat” to “Cockpit”.

It is unfortunate that “steward” and “stewardess” were replaced by “flight attendant.” “Steward” and “stewardess” imply responsibility and care, whereas a “flight attendant” sound like a gas-station attendant.

This BS happened 15 years ago in the Air Force. They tried to get rid of these two words and were roundly rejected by Air Force members. The Air Force COS asked for suggestions to replace “airman”, and the vast majority of female enlisted and officers said they were proud to be called Airmen. The leadership was - and remains - utterly out of touch with what’s important to the rank and file.

Don't really care; we've always referred to ourselves as "Crew" or "flight deck". Cockpit is reserved for military planes or GA planes.

Well that confirms the idea that the entire U.S. Government has been infected with liberals and like the cancer that they are, it’s to late to save the patient.

We’ve always referred to ourselves as “Crew members” and “Flight desk” - never airmen nor cockpit.

How about just...”Man”, and “Cock”.
(Drop the “Air” and “Pit”).
Ex: biden says, “C’mon man!”. (Could be referring to an Airman).
harris says, “What a big cock!. (Could be referring to a big cock).

Now I’m really confused.
How can “cockpit” be a gendered word?
We keep being told women can have those things too.
