I will consider an electric car when:
1. Costs the same as an equivalent ICE model.
2. Charges in 10 minutes or less.
3. 400 mile range with AC/heat on and 4 passengers.
4. Full factory battery warranty for 10 years.
I think my F150 more than PROVES my manliness.
Batteries are for sissies.
Boo hoo. How about we change our warped and demented tax system to a consumption tax on all goods and services. That way, macho men and eco-geeks alike can pay in. Electric cars use resources, too.
I tend to believe that toughness and physical strength are actual virtues in men. I know that those attributes are not uniform blessings, but which men are most likely to survive in a SHTF scenario?
And if anti-femininity includes anti-feminism, HOORAY!
What about manly women?
The left is always attacking masculinity as an obstacle to progress. Recall that they attacked males who objected to homosexuality as having homosexual panic. Then they attacked guns as penis substitutes. Now, males who prefer gas powered to an EV wear it as a manly badge. Of course the prescription again is more brain washing in public schools.
I am sure when the first ICE cars were invented, real men would have preferred to ride a horse than drive one of them motorized carriages.
Real men care about the environment and child slave labor. Liberals just want stuff.
being stranded on the side of the road waiting for a tow to the nearest charging station doesn’t help your image.
REAL MEN have equipment they can rely when needed on and know it has the power to do the job and don’t have to wait around for hours getting ready.
just saying
I’m 72 - I can’t always rely on my equipment to get the job done.
But I can still can still exhibit quite a few of the other negative behaviors on their
list. Thank heaven. And little blue pills help. Just sayin.
“Manly’ men won’t buy electric cars because they think it will dent their macho image, study claims”
“Manly men” buy battery powered cordless tools, lawn mowers, propane fork lifts... but are more frugal when it comes to purchasing high-dollar items such as vehicles. Especially long haul with time constraints. Time is money and inconvenience is money flushed.
Maybe liberals don’t understand the concept, there’s a lot of things and concepts that fly right over the liberal head. Libs are easily stymied when their ill-logic is challenged.
No, manly men won’t buy electric vehicles because they know that eclectic vehicles are a hoax designed to curtail our freedom to move from communist controlled states to free states.
Try again.
Can pick up a lot of chicks while recharging for five hours.
Yeah but are they the kind of chicks you want to pick up....like the ones who wander truck stops...
[Can see a future for charger ho’s...LOL]
DOT and Buttigieg going after ICE vehicles to be eliminated by 2035. When are the FCC going to “go after” all of those idiotic smartphones which have turned every illegal alien with two thumbs into a “swarming” chieftain, a white-male-blue-cop-hating snitch, a child molester, and every woman into a pro-abortion slut and celebrity wannabe influencer? These satanic devices have contributed more to increased group crimes and the debasing of our society than anything else in our environment, yet nobody on the left says one damned critical word about them. High technology made instantly available to large populations of IQ idiots mired in savagery is a volatile destructive mix which will crater any civilization.
EVs can be a chick magnet. The only problem is they attract the wrong kind of chick...the annoying kind
Could be I’m just not comfortable sitting on a battery that could catch fire anytime. Not to mention spending time charging the dang thing.
I’m not “moving with the times”, and it doesn’t mean that I’m living in the past. Liberalism is not something you can fall back on, it’s something to burn bridges to.
He is undoubtedly right, based on what i see here repeatedly over the years. But that doesn’t mean there is any reason to have to change it. There’s the real rub.
