The ghosts of 9/11 still haunt us

Did those Americans die in vain?

As a 9/11 Pentagon “survivor” who lost twenty-seven “shipmates” on that fateful day, I view the current situation in Iran and our yet to be determined response with deep skepticism.

Prior to 9/11 and the highest loss of American lives since Pearl Harbor, our intelligence establishment had the exact location of Osama bin Laden pinpointed several times, to the point that we could have taken him out by a number of means. The only thing lacking was the political will and resolve by the National Command Authority (NCA) to give the green light to execute the mission. The trigger was not pulled, as there was always “hope” that he could be dealt with under more favorable conditions.

Fast-forward some twenty years, and we continue to appease our adversary in the Middle East: Iran. The current administration’s intransigence and hand-wringing have only exacerbated a volatile situation, and now we have needlessly lost the lives of three more American service members. As with Osama bin Laden, we may “hope” Iran’s proxies are reined in, but as I learned as a young military officer, “hope is never a strategy.”

In my office I have a photograph signed by the twenty-seven of my former office mates who were lost in the Pentagon on 9/11. When I see their faces staring back at me each day, I can only wonder: if a previous administration had taken the risk and acted decisively, would they still be here with their families and loved ones, and not standing the watch for perpetuity in the Pentagon Navy Command Center?

I wonder what percentage of high school seniors can explain what happened on that day.

The “thinker” makes it sound like he doesn’t recognize US Government complicity in 9/11. There is a whole lot of “stink” to the Middle East that seems to be being repeated. Of course, Trump brought peace to the region and prosperity to the US. The “thinker” needs to think some more, I think.

I had someone I worked with whose office was in the E-ring. He bought the farm that day.

There are at least tens of thousands of foreign adversaries now in our country, thanks to the leftest DNC politicians. Whether a single or several significant large scale mass casualty events (like our 9/11) will occur and/or hundreds (or thousands) of horrific small attacks (like 10/7 in Israel) will happen, is yet to come. Regardless, the left (and all their stupid supporters, including the MSM) are fully and completely responsible. Republicans should be emphasizing this fact during every interview and conversation. At this point, even if the invasion were stopped today, it’s not a matter of if a terrorist event will happen, but when and where.

Be Prepared Always!

You beat me to it. The author of this piece is out to lunch.

9/11 vanished from my mind as an event that had any lessons to learn when the retarded baboon in the White House at the time spent the remainder of his term pushing an agenda that included: (1) the outrageous tyranny of the Patriot Act, (2) the reprehensible invasion and occupation of Iraq, and (3) an open-borders policy that further undermined U.S. sovereignty.

Lots of people don’t believe aircraft were used and that the buildings were blown up on purpose. In talking with many on another web page they simply refuse to look at the evidence left behind of aircraft parts. They claim such parts were “planted” just after the explosions.

I worked on aircraft in the USAF. I recognized some of the parts. Others refuse to even consider the actual evidence left at the scene and claim there is no evidence when there is plenty.

9/11 haunts us forever. All the people lost in war on terror, all the security implemented after the event. All the money spent! All the dead.
Since 9/11 we never balanced our budget again!
I still have to take off my shoes on every airport!
I still have to show up 2 hours before departure.
All the buildings bomb proofing.

As long as there is Islam, that war is not over.

Also the war did not begin in 2001 but in 622.

One of President Trump's first acts in 2025 should be to declare a month-long TSA security check holiday at the major airports around the country. Airport security shall revert to its state as of September 10, 2001.

Is there an update where they are talking about more than the Clinton Administration’s efforts to treat persistent attacks on the U.S. as an ordinary criminal act?
