rofl I don't know how you remembered that whole episode
all I remember is I liked the baked alaska episode best
it seems so funny to me now that since I was such little girl I have always known bout ''baked alaska''
altho I have no idea what it is in real life
here in mexican restaurants they serve fried ice cream for dessert
and it is delish

I also liked the episode where it was christmas eve when the animals are able to talk
and Dagmar went to barn, and sure enuf the animals all talked
I am curious if after mass awakening our animals will also be able to talk, I have heard some say they will
Love, Palo

our weather is incroyable
no wonder our streets are deserted
anyone who can leave tucson has
our luxury resorts are now $30 a night (instead of $400 a night)
they just want to make back expenses

I had completely forgotten that wonderful Christmas episode, where the animals talked...that was also a very wonderful episode...

I have never had Baked Alaska either..when we visit in a few years, you will have to point us in the direction of the restaurants that serve fried ice cream for dessert...I have never had their either...

Its so amazing, in different parts of this country, we have such different local favorite foods...thats what is fun about traveling...meeting local people, seeing local sights, and eating local food...

That sure is a price drop, going on there right now...

Here its the height of the touristy season, so all our motels are on their summer schedules, and charging more for the rooms....

a very nice mexican restaurant near us serves fried ice cream
when you and bigdom visit, all four of us can go there
I had not even noticed it on the menu
but one day when Bill and I had lunch there
I asked our waiter ''what is your favorite dessert''
he said ''fried ice cream''
so I ordered it
you will love it andysmom, it is the best dessert
when loddy comes back on he can tell us about it
or maybe chickie had it in mexico too
I only had it that one time
so dont know how to describe it
Love, Palo

I dont know if chrissie orders desserts in restaurants cause she is so slim
wait! I'll ping celtic gal, her hubby is mexican, I bet she knows it

lol it never occurred to me that you are having tourist season now
ours is in february
your scenery is so spectacular I can see why everyone wants to go there
a yaqui indian from tucson who helped build the railroad to seattle
(I read his autobiography)
described the experience of seeing your state while he was building RR
as ''scenery only a millionaire can afford to see''
he felt so priveleged to see it

I asked Ozzie what the fried icecream is like and he says " Beats me, I never heard of it!" I bet it has a caramelized like top to it..maybe like a praline thing. sounds good....

How you doing Palo? So nice to get your ping! Come visit more often.

I am up to my ears with Nacho. I came back from England and something looked odd in the iris of his eye. Well the vet was unsure of what it was and wanted me to take him to the specialist in Camarillo. I set that all up. In the meantime I decided to have his teeth cleaned. Well inasmuch as he is nearly 11 bloods are done as routine. Turns out the kitty is in renal failure, has hypertension, is hypothyroid,. So now I am doing antibiotics to follow the oral surgery ( he had 3 leisions which they thought may be related to the iris problem read melanoma) Well thank heavens it was not that.. but it is related to the kidney mess. So now, it is antibiotics for another week, then along with this is antiacids, hypertension cream in his ear and fluids given sub cu by me at home evey 3 days ( or 3 times a week).Tonite I could not do the fluids. He got really wiggley after being stuck with a dull needle..poor little fellow. He is such a good sport most of the time. The absoulute worst of this is getting that damn k/d food to taste like something so he will eat it..as expensive as that stuff is you would think the manufacturers could figure out how to make it taste like something a cat would eat. I am frazzled tonite about all this.

i have had fried ice cream. it is delicious. it's a ball of vanilla ice cream surrounded by a fried like sweet crust. it had coconut on the outside too. i think it was at "outback." they served chocolate syrup over it. i had it another time with no syrup, but i can't remember where. that one was better than outback's. :)
