Yep, tigers love water...I like to watch Animal Planet on Tv, and they have lots of animal programs, naturally...the tigers love to sit in water, as its so dang hot and humid in India, where they live....they are also fine swimmers....

Midday, they will look for water for a drink, and then just get right into the water, and sit there for the longest time, until they are really well cooled off...

They are the only cat that does that...mom cats take their young down to the water, and teach them, to sit in the water to cool off...that is often where the mom cats will leave her cubs, when she decides its time for them to be on their own...she will take them down to the water, and they will all sit in the water, mom gets out, and leaves, for good, leaving her cubs behind to fend for themselves...

Of course, she does not do this when they are little teeny tiny babes, totally dependent on her, but when they are around I think 2 yrs old, she will leave them, very often at their swimming hole...in that way, the babes will eventually go off on their own, and establish themselves...

All very fascinating, I think...

that is fascinating andysmom
altho a lil heartbreaking, a mom goin' off and leaving her babies
even tho they are old enuf to be on their own
I know cats are good swimmers
they prolly swim so fast cause they want to get out of the water fast
o those poor baby tigers I bet they miss their mama so much, and she misses them
I cant figure out why they dont all stay together
but maybe tigers are more solitary than lions who live in a pride

I guess some cats live more communally than other cats...it was sad to see the young tigers, bleating for their moms...but after a while, they just gave it up, and ventured out on their own, that seemed to be the end of it...

It does seem so sad, and you do feel sorry for those tiger babies, but in time, I guess, their instincts just took over...

I dont know why things happen in nature, the way that they do...

Then you have the elephants, altho not cats, seem to thrive on living together in large matrilineal groups....the babies stay for years, and the females stay for an entire lifetime....the males get kicked out, but not for years..

Nature and the world of animals is very complex, with each particular species having its own way of doing things...

Well, I felt something tickling at my feet, and it was Dizzy, rubbing his big handsome body on my toes, in an attempt to lure me away from the computer....

He says I had better go to sleep, so that I can get up early and post, because once BigDom is up, I have to cook, and then its to work in the yard...

So good night for now, and see ya all tomorrow...

Haircut

One day a florist goes to a barber for a haircut. After the cut he asks
the barber about his bill. "I am sorry, I cannot accept money from you
I am doing community service this week." The florist is pleased and
leaves the shop.

The next morning when the barber goes to open his shop, there is a thank
you card and a dozen roses waiting at his door.

Later a Cop comes in for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber,
and the barber replies: "I am sorry I cannot accept money from you. I
am doing community service this week." The cop is happy and leaves the
shop.

The next morning the barber goes to open his shop, there is a thank you
card and a dozen donuts waiting at his door.

A Democrat comes for a hair cut and when he asks the barber what he
owes, the barber replies: "I am sorry I cannot accept money from you. I
am doing, community service this week." The Democrat is very happy and
leaves.

The next morning when the barber goes to open his shop, a dozen
Democrats are lined up waiting for a free haircut.

This will be the last post until I can get back on DSL.

Tell your guru my gamma default in the program is 1 if I increase it to 2+ then the photos show more like the colors and brightness of real life. Is there any setting in the camera I can make to accomplish this.

I am going to take a bunch if photos at low resolution today and see what happens.

See you later.
