On November 20, 2001, I was given a detailed prophetic vision of another series of quakes which will soon shake the United States Midwest. The coming quakes will exceed the magnitudes of the previous New Madrid quakes of 1811 - 1812, and will result in significant earth changes along several areas of the Central United States.

In Arkansas and Missouri, the earth changes that began 191 years ago during the New Madrid quakes will reach maturation. Along the New Madrid fault line and several other fault lines which wind there way up to the Great Lakes, there will be a sudden drop of elevation.

The size of the Great Lakes will decrease, as water drains into the newly formed rift and cascades southward into the Gulf of Mexico. Within less than a day, a new gulf will appear in the United States. North America will be literally divided in half from east to west. The majority of changes will take place within 24 hours, but aftershocks from the quake will continue to rattle the region for 7 months.

The force of the water cascading from north to south during the birthing of the initial rift will lay the foundations for diverse topography and landscapes along the newly birthed shoreline.    Inland Tsunami And Displacements Of Rivers And Lakes

OK, get out your tinfoil... I've seen charlatan prophets in person and on TV, and I don't know anything at all about the guy who wrote this. I don't claim any prophetic gift for myself, but I'm struck by the paragraphs above, because I've had basically the exact same dream. I'll post it here for your amusement, snearing, edification or enjoyment.

First, let me give you a little background. I live in Sheman Oaks, in Los Angeles, which was one of the areas hit worst in the '94 Northridge Quake. My apartment was no exception... my kitchen cabinets came off the walls, my furniture was tossed around like toys, and the building cracked in half by 1" to 6" along the wall against which my headboard was. I'd dived under a table in the living room, where my aquariums were falling down (note to self: hallway next time). One glass tank came off a 30" stand and landed upright, unbroken, six feet away. There was so much up and down motion that it landed on the floor just right.

Needless to say, I've never been more freaking scared in my life... the building sounded like it was coming down. Fortunately, it didn't, but it was uninhabitable. Then the aftershocks. Since we'd had the back-to-back Landers and Big Bear 7.0 quakes a couple of years before, and a lot of the Northridge aftershocks were in the 5 to 5.5 range, I was running to stand in doorways for days. Even now, though the shock has mostly worn off, I find I'm more alert to smaller quakes, or even the vibration of a large truck passing by outside.

Anyway, that Northridge Quake occurred January 17th, 1994. Exactly one year later, there was another devastating quake in Kobe, Japan, in the early morning of January 17, 1995. That was more than a little eerie to those of us who'd been hit hard by Northridge. There were still a lot of condemned buildings around Sherman Oaks even then (and later). Still, coincidences happen, so we shrugged it off, or at least I did...

Until the night of January 16th, 1996. I remember joking with friends that day about the earthquake that was gonna hit the next morning, grim humor kinda stuff. No big deal.

But that night I had a dream, incredibly vivid. There was another January 17th earthquake, more powerful than the 6.8 of Northridge. While Sherman Oaks wasn't hit badly, other parts of Los Angles, like downtown, were a ruin. Thousands were dead.

In the dream, I remember going to pick up a newspaper, expecting to see details of the quake. But the wreckage of Los Angeles was just a sidebar to the big story...

A colossal, unimaginable earthquake had struck the Mississippi Valley region, changing the coastlines. There was a map which I can still see in my mind. From eastern Texas to Alabama, and north toward Ohio and Kentucky, the entire geography was changed, mostly covered by water, as the Gulf of Mexico had grown upward into the Central Unitied States. Arkansas and Missouri were among the States completely submerged, just as in the article above, This was not a floodplain, where the water was expected to run off... there had been a massive and permanent subsidence of the land throughout the entire region. Tens of millions were dead. The Great Lakes too, were moved around, and shaped differently, just as in the dream at the top of this thread.

The Earthquake was felt throughout the United States, but the devastation was worst east of the Rockies, especially in the Mississippi Valley region. I don't recall how bad things were on the Eastern Seaboard, but the West Coast got off relatively easily.

I remember waking up the the next morning, January 17th, shaking and sweating. The dream had been so vivid, I wasn't sure it hadn't really happened. I had to turn on the radio, and even walk down to the newsstand to convince myself it was a dream... which of course, it was.

I chalked it up to the anniverserary of the experience I'd had two years before, but I also recall to this day the feeling that if I ever did have a dream that was a premonition, that was it.

Actually, that's not entirely true. A few years earlier, just before signing the final papers for my divorce, I'd had a dream where my now-ex-wife and I were confronted by a chubby, balding, brown-haired guy with glasses and one of those yellow polo shirts with the little penguin on the chest. Didn't seem like a terribly significant dream, but a few days later she and I went out to dinner to sign the papers. As we were being seated, we passed a table with a family, and the father was "a chubby, balding, brown-haired guy with glasses and one of those yellow polo shirts with the little penguin on the chest." The exact guy from my dream... I'd never seen him before that.

So anyway, I just thought I'd share my little X-File with all of you. Have fun.

You forgot to ask for donations, Sabretooth. No good prophetic dream is complete without donations, is it?

Did you notice, in your dream, what used to be underwater that was now dry land? There's only so much water to spread around -- and if more is under water in the center of the country, there has to be either much shallower water or even land poking up in other places that used to be under water.

We all get wild and strange dreams (I had one last night where I was battling ghosts that spread gray fog all around the landscape). Big events in our lives probably trigger some of them. I used to get dreams about running from volcano eruptions after Mt. St. Helen's blew leaving us (at college at the time) digging out from under 6 inches of ash.

But that is a pretty eerie one...given that someone else apparently had one as well.

Dreams I have had come true were all insignificant, but they always make me think twice when I have bad ones...I live in ohio now, used to be out near Little Lake in California (China Lake to be precise) - lots of little earthquakes there never bothered me really. I was always more concerned with tornados out here in the midwest than an earthquake. But if we do have a big one I hope it is not followed by a tornado! :)

Pretty vivid experience Sabertooth... Thanks for sharing it! Let me know if you can pinpoint the exact area I should invest in this new beachfront property! - Especially if you have any more of those dreams.

I haven't been in a really big quake... We had one here (Olympia area) last year that did quite a bit of damage to old stone buildings in town, but nothing like you have been in. I did lose about six inches of water out of my fish tank, and a big green ceramic cat I had in my bathroom shattered. (every one of my friends thought it was hideous, I kept it around to torment them) That's it. Nothing else fell over.

I guess we are affected by our own experiences... while I am also in an earthquake-likely place, rather than earthquakes, I have dreamt about volcanos... Not Mt. St. Helens, but sometimes Rainier, and sometimes brand-new volcanos sprouting up where there had been none before. They aren't scary but fantastic and I am an awestruck spectator.

Thanks, Sabertooth, for your report.  In Joel 2, G~d says he pours out his spirit on "all flesh" so even those who are not Christians or believers are having dreams and visions as you have had.  I'll check out my archive for a few on this topic and post them.

Here is Tim Snodgress's piece.  See the red section below.  This current 7.7 could be the "2nd Polynesian quake".  Plan accordingly:

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz Islands Quake

A Warning

June 21, 2002

Prophetic Report

June 21, 2002 – On Monday, June 17, as the world was awaiting President Bush’s proposal for a Palestinian state, a 6.7 earthquake shook the Santa Cruz Islands, 210-miles NNW of Vanuatu Island. Within less than 24-hours, a rare 5.0 quake shook Indiana, just south of the U.S. Great Lakes. What is the significance of these two earthquakes? Exactly six months ago, on November 20, 2001, I received a vision of America being ripped in half like a veil from east to west, and the Holy Spirit spoke to me that "if America wishes to divide Jerusalem in half, America shall be divided in half". In the vision I witnessed a major earthquake along the New Madrid Fault-line which literally divided America in half from east to west, creating a new gulf which stretched from the Great Lakes in the north to the Gulf of Mexico in the south. Six-weeks after this vision, on the first day of 2002 I received another vision of a great quake, this time centered in a separate portion of the United States: The quake – somewhere in the 9.0 range – was centered on the U.S. West Coast. Many freeways ended abruptly, cut off by new lakes which were created by the quake. In the vision the Holy Spirit spoke to me that this great quake would occur "after the 2nd Polynesian quake." Within only a matter of hours after the vision, a 7.3 quake shook Vanuatu Island (1st quake), on January 2. The second quake which the Holy Spirit referred to (of 7.3 or greater in the Polynesia-Melanesia region) has not yet occurred, but I believe that Monday’s quake (the largest in the region since January 2) was a strong warning.

Mandate To Pray For President Bush

The purpose of this report is not to condemn the Bush Administration, but to present a clear and undiluted word from the Lord. We would like to ask that our readers diligently intercede for the President of the United States. Regardless of what is being broadcast on CNN, keep in mind the President may be working behind the scenes for a biblical solution, which will not become evident till a later date. The sole purpose of releasing the details of this vision is to ultimately avert the event from happening. God releases prophetic warnings out of a motivation of love and mercy, so that catastrophes can be avoided.

Notable U.S. Quakes Which Have Occurred Since April 13

There has been several notable earthquakes in the United States since a transcript of the above vision was forwarded to President Bush on April 13, all of which have strong prophetic significance: 1) On April 20, as President Bush's weekend radio address was about to be aired nationwide concerning the U.S. battle on terrorism and his vision for a Palestinian state, a rare 5.1-magnitude earthquake was felt from Buffalo, New York, to Boston, Massachusetts, and Baltimore, Maryland. The epicenter was 48 miles from Saranac Lake, where President Bush delivered his Earth Day message on Monday, April 22nd. 2) On May 13, as the Bush Administration reconfirmed their support of a Palestinian state (after a vote by Israel's Likud party to reject a Palestinian state), a 5.0 earthquake hit the San Francisco Bay area. 3) On June 18, as the world was awaiting Bush's proposal for a Palestinian state, a rare 5.0 quake shook Indiana.

Second Vision Of New Madrid Quake Received On June 20, 2002

On the morning of 6/20/02 I awoke weeping and interceding the thousands of souls who were about to perish, after receiving a second vision of the coming seismic rift. As the Holy Spirit took me into the depths of the newly created gulf in the Central United States, I was shocked at how deep the water was. It was a cold, black abyss which dropped perhaps ten-thousand feet into the earth. I could hear the voices of thousands of people crying out to God who had suddenly lost their lives in the quake.

The Key To Averting Major New Madrid Quake Is Jerusalem

The above event (creation of a new gulf in North America) will eventually take place as the course of natural history, but need not take place in our generation. The key to delaying the formation of this gulf in the United States is Jerusalem. It is extremely important that we keep President Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Sharon covered in prayer during their terms in office. Last week, during my daughters first birthday party, we lit one candle on the cake for my daughter Esther, and one for President Bush, with a prayer that God would clearly speak to him as he spoke to Moses in the burning bush. Three days later, we discovered that my daughter’s birthday – June 12 – also happens to be the birthday of George Bush Sr.! Nothing occurrs by accident. Just as President Bush's father won the Gulf War, his son can also win the current 'gulf war' (a war to prevent the formation of a new gulf in North America).

Vision Of June 19, 2002 – Warning Of Nuclear Terrorism

There is an immediate terrorist threat to the United States of America, involving nuclear devices which the enemy intends to detonate in several cities simultaneously. This must be avoided at all costs. On June 19, I was shown the terrible consequences of what would occur if these terrorist attacks are not averted: A World War. To avoid war between July, 2002 and December, 2003, the Lord in his grace is releasing a series of significant earth changes – storms, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions – to extend our window of time, for the sake of the harvest. This period of earth changes will last roughly from July, 2002 through most of 2003. Our ministry is calling a 40-day Daniel Fast (no meats or pleasure foods, just fruits and vegetables, juices, water) from June 29 to August 8. During this fast we will be praying specifically that: 1) U.S. authorities are angelically directed to uncover and diffuse every planned terrorist attack. 2) Wisdom for President Bush in dealing with Israel and the Palestinians. 3) We are also suggesting that everyone who participates in this 40-day fast choose one region of the world to intercede for revival (my wife and I will be praying specifically for the islands of the Pacific, which are particularly vulnerable during some of these coming seismic events. We have decided to remain in the Philippines until September. We will not leave until we see revival and seismic-stability in the Philippine Islands and the South Pacific. During our 40-day fast you will find us standing on the sea-shore, interceding that the waves would be calm, and tsunami minimal during some these coming events along the Pacific Ring of Fire.) Our adjusted departure date for relocation to South Africa is 9/24.

IIRC, a very big, so far very inactive, fault runs up Hudson River.

I think the last time it devastatingly faulted, was around the time of the revolution.

Art Bell has this retired geologist on that predicts quakes primarily on tide height (each foot/mile2 is about 1 megaton).
That, and the increase in lost&found ads for missing pets for whatever the locale is.

Then there's the guy that measures the change in radon in wells.

And you can't forget the TV repairman that predicts quakes based on...I forgot. Actually, fell asleep.

7.7 and 7.5? Are you sure Hillary wasn't on vacation there?

Seriously, I think anything is possible with God. We can guess and speculate all we want, but only God knows for sure.

Thanks for sharing.....definitely food for thought.

And frighteningly scary if it comes true.

I can't tell you how powerful an Earthquake would have to be to flatten LA when it started in Missouri. It would have to be larger than anything ever seen......

I had the same dream before my divorce and the same guy wearing the same shirt was at Burger King where I went to celebrate my pending divorce. What could this mean? I also saw an earthquake once on CNN.

Well, if you've got the courage, so do I...I had a very bad dream quite recently. I was at the Ashokan reservoir in upstate New York, several freepers were there with me, and we were looking out in consternation over the water. There were strange light effects in the sky and the water. I was saying the word "wormwood" over and over, no one was listening to me.

The dream didn't last long, because I actually woke myself up by saying "wormwood" aloud. :D

I was joking about it the next day, even joked about it on some thread or other here on FR, but it was a really VIVID nightmare as it was happening.

I don't care to report on what I dreamed last night, after seeing that poor dog gassed to death on TV, but it had to do with the subway and was to be expected. Run-of-the-mill bad dream, direct cause and effect. Besides I've always worried about gas in the subways.

Interesting "California Dreaming." I enjoyed reading this. My sister lives in Granada Hills and their house moved three feet away from their big fireplace and had heavy damage during the Flintridge quake. She also has dreams about earthquakes plus a major fear of them. My Bro-in-law was the only guy in the neighborhood with earthquake insurance. Genius!

Interesting responses, truly.

And Sabertooth, I'd never ridicule your dream - you've had too many cogent postings to deserve that.

All that being said...

Quix, I agree that there are signals. But those symbols are often (as in almost always) interpreted incorrectly...at least, so far as I can tell. Perhaps they're meant to be allegories, and they're interpreted literally. Or maybe the signal changes reality. Or (most likely) none of the above. I have noticed that time after time, from source after source, predictions of disaster are flat out wrong. That's been the case with so-called Earth changes, the economic arena, and so forth.

Sabertooth, your dream is quite similar to predictions that have come from a variety of psychics. Take a look at Edgar Cayce, Arthur Ford, Ruth Montgomery, the Seth series, the Monroe Institute's conversations with Miranon...to name just a few...and you'll get much the same scenario. The white buffalo calf born a few years ago generated similar predictions from Native American spirtualists.

And there are various biblical scholars who also consider various current events to be indicative of upcoming changes.

One could argue that Someone is sending a message, and lots of people are picking up on it. And yet....these predications have been going on for decades that I'm aware of. (I'm a few years younger than you, Quix...but not by that much). In all that time, they've proven wrong in most of the details.

I mentioned allegory above; suppose that Earth Changes are real, but that we misinterpret the images. California falling off the west coast might mean that it slides into the sea...or it might mean that it joins Atzlan. The midwest destroyed could mean exactly what it seems to...or it could mean that an economic earthquake (i.e., sudden shift) caused a lot of damage and many people lost their previous lives. (Example: optical engineers were making 100K per year, and a few have shown up in homeless shelters, per the Wall Street Journal).

So, no ridicule. But a strong suspicion that a literal manifestation of these situations isn't going to happen. If it does, please feel free to enjoy a well earned gloat!
