Good morning all. Today's link gives us something to think about - not that there's anything we can do about, but still it's something that future generations will have to deal with.

Where do you get off saying some of us are sulking, or have picked up their toys? That appears to be more YOUR department.Keep your sourness to yourself, and your bitter cracks.Or, you could try freepmail.

"Every man ought to be inquisitive through every hour of his great adventure down to the day when he shall no longer cast a shadow in the sun. For if he dies without a question in his heart, what excuse is there for his continuance?"
-Frank Moore Colby

I had not seen this quote before checking your homepage. This helps me understand how you continue to mine the wwweb for interesting nuggets for all on board to enjoy - thanks again for all the time and effort you spend to keep this tread up and running. JL

It is a fair and honest question, and I think your answer, Jim, is the correct one.Propanganda is lying, something the libs do with great skill. Its like porno, we don't need to define it to know what we see( not that I've EVER seen porno ;-).I would also add that its delibrately twitsing data and miscontruing meaning to advance a political point.

Its dishonesty, plain and simple.

I will throw out an idea for public consumption, as it pertains to FR.In a time of War, most policy debates are irrelevant, and because of that, maybe goes some of the fire of FR.Unless one is a complete traitor, its hard to get exercised over the give and take of politics when at War, so is it any wonder that things have become more fractious around these parts when most probably know instinctively that the fights are about nothing?

Now, Nothing is a pregnant word, but, like George Will's observation that academic fights are so vicious because they have so little at stake, this could also apply to some of the arguements we see today on FR.Do the right wing fringe truly think their priorities trump the necessity of winning a War?Or is it hot air blown into the cyberspace to satisfy other personal vanities?

War has changed the dynamic on FR, more than any other matter. But it hasn't changed its usefulness, only altered its focus.Chat threads are more in evidence, but that goes with the times. And the cheese hole we are in isn't a bad thing, either :-)

I see you've got your smart cap on today. Great analysis in my opinion.

Where some of the folks on FR are coming from is foreign to my way of thinking and behaving. I want more scrambled eggs and less fighting. I may even look up this "porno" stuff that you mentioned earlier. ;-)

Thanks you guys for standing behind an old lady that doesn't "do" politics much.. I just felt I had to say something because this post was directed to a Newbie I guess, and assume.. (although you can't assume anything today..)

I have seen what's going on here like everyone else.. I saw Palo being made uncomfortable by it all, and leaving.. I like FR.. I love DD and all who I consider friends here.

I think we need a common enemy again.. Maybe Hitlery should run this next election? lol.. Oh ghod.. only kidding..

The war on terrorism goes slowly with not many results reported on, but it is going and that's good..but I think people are getting antsy and expect more.. Pres. Bush said it would be slow going but thorough and I believe him. I guess we need something more to sooth the savage breasts, and we are all taking it out on each other.

I hope our Palo comes back, because I really don't think she will be happy on the other site, and I really don't think she's a true Libertarian..but there's no reason why she can't be on both sites.. I wouldn't call her a hypocrite and I don't think anyone else would either.. This is something she has to work out..and I hope she works it out in our favor..;)

So I will wait, like the rest of you and see.. Just wanted to say "Good Morning Vietnam.. and here's lookin at ya.. ;)
