Yes, john, I thought of you as I wrote that....Now how long did you sign up for??? LOL! At least you'll get paid...won't you??

James Lewis Hickman? Born in VA, and died in KY?

kay, that fill-in sometimes subs on F & F and the weekends...Before he never made much of an impression, but this afternoon!!
Just as you say, VERY negative...making Kristol look pretty positive by comparison.....
Gibson is usually pretty solid, so when he isn't there....Possible Trouble!
Time to wind down.
Between you and me, I'm glad this 3-dayer is over! LOL!

.Now how long did you sign up for??6 years, this hitch. I'll stay as long as they allow. When we finish with al-queerda, there will be other problems that need fixing. And I need to serve as long as I'm able, I've had it easy for the last 18 years. It's an honor to be allowed to serve.

His father, I believe....But yes, born in Va. died in Ky.
Did you go look it up? Or are you a cousin?? LOL!
To: Molly Pitcher
I think my neighbor may be related to him remotely. Last name of Griffin. No, I am not related. My family was evading military service in France during the Revolutionary War.

James married Hannah Lewis, thus the son with the Lewis middle name. Born Culpeper co. died Bourbon Co. Ky. Don't have the exact dates handy. I'm descended from another son, David, not the James you found.

Oh my ...Molly ... Oh
my!
You've put a face and a voice to a ground zero long gone but surely not forgotten .... from someone who says she can not write ...
To: JRandomFreeper
died Clark Co., sorry. 1724-1816. He was 52 when he joined in 1776!!!!
LOL! Well so was part of my family...evading service in France...
Here are James Lewis Hickman's dates...1759-1828. He served also and died in Ky. Culpeper Co. militia....like his father probably.
I'm sure old James has loads and loads of descendents...

died Bourbon Co. Ky.And probably died happy. Bourbon County. How cool is that for a county name?
I nose around a lot of geneology sites for folks I know. I read fast and remember things is why I had a hook on the name. The neighbor has a Civil War diary from one of Hickman boys. Handling that document was something that stuck in my memory and helped associate James Hickman to it.

Only inspired by them and you, illstillbe.
What a GRAND idea you had!!
What's fun too, is to "play" both sides! LOL! An intellectual exercise which we can afford at this distance.....

At least you'll get paid...won't you?I haven't been paid correctly since I've been back in. It's a systemic problem. The MAJCOMs have been directed to pay their people and get the paperwork done later. I've not pushed it because I don't need the money right now. They will owe me a chunk if and when they get the computers fixed.
They do seem to be getting the travel pay done correctly, and I got suprised by them paying per-diem. It wasn't much, but every little bit is appreciated.

Night, Miss Molly. It's neat that I know of your ancestors by reputation.
I'm not too much worried about the money. That's not why I'm there.

Hi,
I must have missed some of the thread today, because I am not following this apparant quotes from George Washington`s diary or something. I am too lazy to look back right now in order to figure it out.
The reason that I post here is because of the comment about Brit Hulme. I do not watch him every night, but I have seen a lot of him.
I can honestly say that I have never found a point to disagree with him on. It is almost as if he were my personal spokesman. The guy is awesome.
I love Sundays. I like it when the camera "accidentally " shows him grimacing at Juan. I think that those two might really despise each other. They certainly disagree a lot.
Speaking of Juan, I thought that he was going to lose it one Sunday during the Florida re-count fiasco. Noone asked me but I felt the need to share.
By the way: Can someone please tell me what the protocol is here for sending a note to multiple recipients? Is it just like regular e-mail? Do I just put a comma between names. Do I have to type each name individually? (I am a really bad typist). I review all of my posts several times, and even then my typos show up.
Thanks for reading this far!

You gots any recipes WITHOUT the beer, and Jack Daniels :)All of my recipes have to include at LEAST one of each of the following: Garlic, wine, beer, whiskey, cream, butter, buttermilk, bacon, or butter (don't think I didn't know I included THAT twice). My potato soup includes most all of them, except the wine and whiskey. It also has potatoes and onions. ;>)
