Despite is relatively young age the cat is only five years old the pet has lost her interest in everything, save food. Katy is not interested in male cats, because she spends all of her days sleeping - this is her major daily occupation.

He does look intent doesn't he? If I were better in photoshop I would give him a cigarette and a beer. And the remote control. :~D

no way this cat is a siamese like the article says.. doesn't look anything like a siamese cat. 5yrs old for a cat that heavy is likely old age too.. can't imagine it living too old at that size.

My maine coon cat was doing maintenance work today at my place. She was standing on the back of my wicker settee on the screened porch and was staring at the porch soffitt. She noticed that the rain thing (whatever it's called) was missing. So, I called the property manager and left a voicemail message that "my cat pointed it out to me."

Really now! - She pointed it out to you? Handy cat! ;~D
You maine coon cat must be nearly as big as these, aren't they enormous?
To: HairOfTheDog
Sasha, my maine coon has a different bonier, skeleton than say, a regular tabby. Although she has very large paws, gorgeous long hair, even different skin than a normal cat and a huge sweeping tail, a square head, she is actually light as a feather because when I pick her up, she assists. Her hair makes her look bigger than she really is. Probably an evolutionary thing for self defense in the woods.
If you want to see her picture, you can click on the August Jeb Pit Stop on my profile page. Her picture is not too far from the top. (Cutting mats out of her hair is not much fun but she doesn't want to be brushed). My tabby's picture is there too, posing with a Jeb sticker. She WEIGHS A TON - all in the back end. I can barely pick up Mimi, the shorter, stockier one.

Re: the missing rain spout, yep. Sasha stood there on the back of the settee and stared above at the soffit where there was a torn up metal hole. I wouldn't have noticed it on my own until hurricane season.

I went and found Sasha on the thread.... Hard to get a size reference without a person in the shot, but a beautiful cat!
RE: diagnosing the downspout failure... I shake my head, but I will take your word for it! - I can't imagine my cat giving a darn about it. Maybe he had just seen it fall and that was getting his interest?
To: HairOfTheDog
Sasha's a very long, fluffy cat. The hair fools you about size wise. That was a baby picture. She looks a little less than two feet in her body. The tail adds another foot. She looks more long than menacing.
Sasha stared at the light coming through where the rain spout should have been (probably looking for little lizards). "floriduh" voter

Ain't even close to being a Siamese cat, though.
