Why should I? Only DU trolls refer to Bush as a chimp,. worthy of banana eating.

The chimp is you and you know it.

EXACTLY, the idea of condemning this administration for something that hasn't been even proposed yet, is just what the left would love to see happen. I own a Body Shop just outside of Washington D.C. and I have at least five customers who are columnist or reporters. A conservative reporter who I have done business with for years tells me that the Washington Post enjoys nothing more than to publish stories that divide the right.

I can guarantee you that many of them lurk here and take great pleasure in seeing one of us condemning the POTUS for something they published using "unnamed sources" along with quotes from advocates who we disagree with.

The point is this:

Condemn the mistaken policies but *support* the administration and President that has done so much good.

That defeats the Liberal agenda of dividing the right.

Do we need to send a few billion to Mexico?
Do we need to provide a benefit to people who break the law and then use fake Soc sec #s to get around undetected?

That is the issue. Not whether we are sufficient supportive of a President who will likely win in a landlside anyway.

I wish I could have said it the way you did. That's the way I think.

If the landslide is such a sure thing --- why this desperate buying of votes with the Social Security money of Americans and all the talk of amnesty? Amnesty pandering didn't help the Republicans with the Hispanic vote after the last time it was done in the 80's --- right after that it went more democrat than it ever had been previously. Clinton won 80% of that vote --- and at one time the Hispanic vote was mostly Republican.

Undocumented workers now pay billions of dollars annually into Social Security but do not collect benefits because they give their employers fraudulent Social Security numbers.

THat is an absolute lie! Less than 6% pay any taxes at all! This is BS and is simply a back door amnesty! Don't let them get away with it!

By any chance... do you know who proposed these roll backs in Veteran benifits? My guess it was a proposal by a entrenched liberal who didn't agree with Anthony Principi's plan to extend these benifits to begin with.

Common sense tells me that after all what President Bush has done for our Troops and our Vetereans since he's been in office, this is just another attempt to cut into the support he has among our veterans and our troops.

These reporters have an agenda, and anyone who thinks they don't, I have a bridge to sell you.

My Sister-in-law, who lives with us, is a social worker at the VA Hospitol in Washington D.C. and she tells me that never before has the VA and the Military been paid this much attention, and she has worked there for almost 30 years

they give their employers fraudulent Social Security numbers.

Perhaps I'm not grasping something, but if they're using phony SS numbers, how are we supposed to figure out who's entitled to what? The bogus cards are produced on a mass basis. We'll have fifty people making claims on one account, and all of them will, by filing a claim, be simultaneously admitting they've violated federal law by using a fraudulent work document. Then again, what's one more little federal violation?

This needs major re-thinking.

There seems to be nothing in this at all for the American people. Some trade.

Oh there's something in it for Americans alright...an unemployment line. They displace 730,000 US workers per year according to Fair.org.

President Bush will propose protections for the Social Security taxes paid by the workers who would come into the country under massive changes to immigration laws he plans to announce on Wednesday, Republican officials said Saturday.

Anybody who pays SS taxes should receive benefits.
Unless of course you think destitute illegals should pay for our retirement benefits.
I agree with Bush on this.

I don't know --- when I read it --- since I'm not a veteran or a much of a believer in medicines, it didn't bother me much --- but I haven't heard the reaction of some of the veterans here to this proposal. I'm fine with letting everyone pay for their own drugs --- even if they were willing once to die for this country.

I paid a lot of money into Social Security --- and I don't think anyone needs to be changing that into an international or binational program. Especially when it comes to giving a monthly check to anyone who might claim to have used a stolen Social Security number for a year or two to work here. What happens if 4 or 5 all claim to have used the same stolen number 40 years ago? None can prove they did --- so will all get a check?

Why doesn't Vicente use some of Mexico's own great and vast wealth to set up a Social Security program for these people if he wants one so badly? Some of that oil they have socialized would work pretty nicely at getting a program started --- it doesn't always just have to go into the pockets of a very few.

Then why are you wasting your time on them?

I think you're being disingenuous.

Speak plainly, and I know you can.

What's your point?

Why did you flag me to this thread?
